Blood Puzzle II (1993)

Picking up where "Blood Puzzle" left off, Ryan manages to overpower his Uncle Clark, who is about to shoot him, by whacking him across the face with a board. Leaving to call the police, he comes back to find his Uncle has vanished!
Two years later, Ryan is living in another city and going to college. One day, he is approached by Detective Calvin DeGranville (Scott), a detective who wishes to reopen the investigation into the disappearance of Ryan's Aunt Catherine. Setting off a chain of events into motion, by the end of this film we know once and for all what did happen to Aunt Catherine, and the who and why behind the events.

Behind the scenes:

As comparisons go between this film and the first one, Scott feels that the sequel is far superior to the original, but also that the damage was already done and too late to correct. "As films go, Blood Puzzle II wasn't too bad of one to work on, it went together pretty nice and all." says Scott. "But, the twisted plot pretty much killed any chance to go off in any new directions in this film. This was mainly to tie up the plot threads and finish the story.
In the late 90's, Scott had pondered a "Blood Puzzle III" that was to continue the story of Ryan, as well as bring in his father as a character, but it was never filmed.
