The story:
In the year 2266, Cmdr. Will Riker and Dr. Crusher are out roaming the galaxy testing out a new warp engine part when the piece malfunctions, sending the ship into high warp. When the fiasco ends, the crew is greeted by Scotty, Dr. McCoy, Sulu, and Uhura, somehow flung 100 years into the future by the accident. But, someone is killing off the visitors from the past! Who? Why? Can Riker and his "intrepid" crew solve the mystery and fix the past before it is changed forever? |
Behind the scenes:
"Back Trek" is the culmination of a few years of failed Star Trek projects for Scott. "Originally I was supposed to do a Trek film called "Captain Kirk", in which Kirk is found to be still alive by the Next Generation crew, back in 1996 or so, but it fell through." Scott says with a frown. "So, this one came about. No Kirk, but what the hell, it's a decent film." |
