Zombie
This disappointing Lucio Fulci, Italian gorefest is actually the unauthorized sequel to George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead. Although, it is nothing near as good as Dawn of the Dead. This whole movie is a jumble of a mess, and you barely understand the plot at all sometimes. A zombie even attacks a shark underwater at one point, which made me a little unsettled because I love animals so much and plus: it was a really cheesey scene! Apparently, a mad doctor has performed voodoo rituals on dead corpses, and a bunch of zombies are popping out of the ground, feeding on the living above ground.
I didn't exactly think this was unbearable; it's just that I expected it to be better for some reason. The gore can sometimes may you squirm in your seat, while other times it is just too fake to have any effect whatsoever. This film isn't a total waste of time, if you like gore and any horror movie you can rent out. I did, however, like the ending. Also known as Zombi 2 (Dawn of the Dead was also known as Zombi).
