Unhinged

When three young girls, Terry, Nancy, and Gloria, are on their way to a rock concert on a rain-slicked highway, they accidentally run into an object, and run off of the road. The three then wake up in a large, eerie Victorian house, rescued by Marion Penrose and her mother, who has an immense hate towards men. The two houseguests are very stange, and the girls soon discover that they are secluded in the middle of nowhere from everyone. Soon, the girls are very slowly killed off by a grisly murderer. Will any of the girls survive and escape?

Little of what I remember from this film, I hated. The pace is very slow, and barely anyone is killed in the film's short running time. The ending is a surprise, though, and reminded me of Sleepaway Camp, the 1983 camp slasher, which followed only one year after this film. Although, this resemblance doesn't make the film any better or entertaining than Sleepaway Camp. Despite the eerie atmosphere and the surprise ending, I didn't enjoy this film very much at all. I also found this film to be fairly similar to The Unseen, the better film starring Barbara Bach, which was released a year earlier than this film. Not recommended, unless you're a person who doesn't listen to other people when they warn you about a bad movie.
