Schizoid

Julie has her own advice column and is a member of a therapy group run by Dr. Fales (Klaus Kinski). For a long period of time, she's been receiving threatening letters, involving murder. Soon, members of the therapy group start to show up dead, all caused by a maniac with a long pair of scissors. Everyone is baffled to who or why someone would want to murder any of the group members. Could it be Dr. Fales's daughter, Alison (Donna Wilkes), who's relationship with her father is very unhealthy? Possibly it's someone else who wants to exact revenge... Maybe even Dr. Fales himself. The truth's revealed at the film's nerve-wrenching conclusion.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as other '80s slashers, but it's not too bad, excluding the annoying music. Director David Paulsen attempts at delivering a straight-forward thriller, but the excessive chase scenes and such makes it more of a slasher. Donna Wilkes, who's also in Jaws 2Angel, and Grotesque, portrays the odd daughter of Klaus Kinski's character. Christopher Lloyd (TV's syndicated Taxi), who went on to bigger projects, has a role as a strange janitor, and Craig Wasson, who was later in Brian DePalma's Body Double, has a small role. Despite its usual slow pace, the film's easy enough to sit through.
