Mother's Day
Mother's Day opens up with the graduation of many people from E.G.O., a support group for caring. Two young people need a ride, so a kind, old woman offers. They have actually planned to do harm to the woman, until vice versa happens to them. They get a flat tire, and the old woman goes out to check the engine. While the man and woman are sitting in the car, someone sneaks up from the side of the car and decapitates the man in the backseat. The girl rushes out of the car, screaming her lungs off and is stangled by the woman, who's the mother of the two boys that kill for her. They all live together in the woods, with their perverted and homicidal thoughts. Their mother fears of her sister Queenie, who she says is pure evil and still roams the very woods where they live.
Meanwhile, Trina has just received a telegram for her and two former college roommates to have a mystery weekend vacation, which their other friend Jackie plans yearly. Abbey has also received the telegram as well and they all meet for a reunion. Jackie makes the location a mystery to Trina and Abbey, and she takes them to Deep Barons Wilderness Area where they stay for the weekend.
Soon, their yearly outing becomes a living nightmare when Ike and Addley kidnap them, dragging them in their sleeping bags to their house. First, they torture Jackie to death, putting her in very horrifying situations. Trina and Abbey find a way to get free and search for Jackie. She's barely alive, and they carry her around with them, escaping the house. Sadly, Jackie soon dies, enraging the girls, forcing themselves to return to the sick family for revenge.
One of my all-time favorites, this is one of Troma's (actually they bought the film) best films, in my own opinion. The two girls fight back fiercely, killing their attackers in various, gory ways, which will definitely please any gore fan. I thought the ending was very creepy and scary. I also thought it'd be appropriate to review this film on Mother's Day! Definitely recommended to die-hard horror fans, especially of '80s cheese and Troma toxic waste!
