Bats
When a government experiment goes horribly wrong and mutates several bats, Dr. Shelia Casper and her assistant Jimmy are called upon the case in a small, sleepy town in Texas. Even though the bats are prone to being contaminated by other bats, they cannot infect human beings. Except one, little thing: the bats have an indisirable hunger for human blood! Will anyone survive the wrath of the bats...or will the streets be cluttered with very many corpses?
I thought Bats was fairly enjoyable, except for the fact that I don't enjoy creature features too much (i.e. Deep Blue Sea and Lake Placid). Lou Diamond Phillips (Stand and Deliver and La Bamba) has a role as Sheriff Emmett Kimsey. Unlike many killer animal movies, Bats ran at an approximated running time of 90 minutes, which is shorter than usual. Even though it didn't interest me that much, it's worth seeing.
