This is dedicated to the victims and the families that were in the tragedies that occured on September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center Towers and the Pentagon. All of America has joined together in prayers for these people.

Never in American history have we faced such an outright act of terrorism. Many lives were lost and tears are being shed for those who have suffered. If you would like to have your prayers or comments posted on this site for the familes and friends of the victims to see then send an email to atrus1_@hotmail.com. I will then post any prayers, poems or comments on this site for people to view them.

I would also like to ask that everyone keep praying for these families that have lost loved ones. Also pray that God have mercy on the souls of those terrorists. Thank you

I, AM, FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

I am the flag of the United States of America

My name is Old Glory.

I stand watch in America's halls of justice.

I fly majestically over institutions of learning

I stand guard with power in the world.

Look up and see me!

I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice.

I stand for freedom.

I am confident.

I am arrogant.

I am proud.

When I am flown with my fellow banners, my

head is a little higher, my colors a little truer.

I bow to no one!

I am recognized all over the world.

I am worshipped - I am saluted.

I am loved - I am revered.

I am respected -- and I am feared.

I have fought in every battle of every war for more than 200 years.

I was flown at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Shiloh and

Appamatox. I was there at San Juan Hill, the trenches

of France, in the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome and

the beaches of Normandy, Guam, Okinawa, Korea

and KheSan, Saigon, Vietnam, I was there.

I led my troops, I was dirty, battle worn and tired,

but my soldiers cheered me And I was proud.

I have been burned, torn and trampled on the streets

of countries I have helped set free.

It does not hurt, for I am invincible.

I have been soiled upon, burned, torn and trampled on the streets of my country.

And when it's by those whom I've served in battle -- it hurts. But I shall overcome -- for I am strong.

I have slipped the bonds of Earth and stood watch

over the uncharted frontiers of space from my vantage point on the moon.

I have borne silent witness to all of America's finest hours. But my finest hours are yet to come.

When I am torn into strips and used as bandages for

my wounded comrades on the battlefield, When I am

flown at half-mast to honor my soldier, Or when I lie in

the trembling arms of a grieving parent at the

grave of their fallen son or daughter, I am proud.

MY NAME IS OLD GLORY LONG MAY

I WAVE. DEAR GOD IN HEAVEN

LONG MAY I WAVE.

- For all those lost in the senseless attack at the World Trade Center and the Pentegon, may they find peace in their now eternal slumber....And I send out prayers for healing out to those that are left behind, grieving....family and friends alike.

- The inevitable has occured. The US has been struck a deadly blow the likes of which has never been seen in our history. Everyone seems to liken it to Pearl Harbour, but that was a mere 2500 people compared to the 50000+ people involved in today's attacks. I would like to first send out my thoughts and prayers to anyone that may have family in the NYC or Washington, DC area, and my sincere condolences to anyone that may have lost loved ones. Our generation has not seen terrorism of this magnitude hit our homeland, and as the generation before us that stood up for their country when Pearl Harbour was attacked, we must do the same. This is our Pearl Harbour, and I for one am ready to stand for my country. The terrorists that committed this horrific act have gotten what they wanted, they received worldwide attention, they halted all air traffic, and basically brought this great country to a halt. Be that as it may, we shall move on. Our nation is a great one, from the citizens of New York City that rushed through ash, smoke, and debris to rescue their fellow man, to our leaders in Washington that stood together, regardless of political stance, and sang God Bless America. The first shot has been fired, and we will react accordingly to silence this threat. We have the backing of almost every major nation in the world, and it is no surprise that no terrorist group will come forward and claim responsibility. In fact, terrorist groups have denied any connection with today's events, as they know what would happen if they did claim responsibility. Now we as a nation, everyone regardless of race, religion, or age, need to band together and stand up for our country. We will not be intimidated by these actions, and we will succeed in removing this terrorist threat from the face of this earth. Do what you can, regardless of where you live. The main thing the victims of this tragedy need is blood. So please give blood, and ask others to do the same.

With a prayer,

William Barnhill

- On Tuesday, a world tragedy occured. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the innocent victims. As someone who was at the WTC 3 weeks ago, i will count myself lucky to have not been caught up in this. I for one, look forward to visiting America in the near future, and assure you that this tragedy will not ruin my image of such a vibrant and beautiful city. Your hearts are strong - the people of new york, america and the world will learn from this and move on to make the world a better place. Also, i feel i should mention the brave men and women of the fire and rescue, police, hospital and other emergency services. You have, and continue to, make the world proud of you.
