THE VANISHING HITCHHIKER

One night a man was driving home from work, when he spotted two beautiful women standing at the side of the road, looking at their car, which had a flat tire. He stopped and offered them a ride to town, gladly they accepted. He drove them to their apartment building and was invited in for coffee. Once in the apartment on the 7th floor the man went into the bathroom to wash his hands. He took off his watch and forgot it behind.

Time passed and they all had a blast hanging out drinking coffee and talking. The man ended up spending the night and the next morning went right to work. At work he realized that he had forgotten his watch at the apartment. After work that day he went back to the apartment building and told the doorman that he wished to see the two women. The doorman told him it was impossible because both women had died three weeks before in a car accident.  The man told the doorman that he had left his watch inside, and he was sure he was with the women the night before. The apartment had been sealed off right after the accident so no one could go in until their lawyer approved it.

Later with the lawyers permission the man went into the apartment only to find his watch right where he left it.
