A entire small town
suffers a blackout. Everyone passes out, and a few months later, all the women

as the date of the blackout. The children are born, and everything seems
normal. But once the children get a little older the parents realize their
children just can't be human. . .
My
Review: I'm a HUGE fan of
John Carpenter's work, but I have to say this wasn't one of his best. Don't
get me wrong, it wasn't a terrible film, it just wasn't something I enjoyed
very much. I think the whole idea of the film was pretty good. It seemed
to be much like Children of the Corn, however I know this is a remake from
1960.
There
seemed to be many deaths, but not too much was shown, and it wasn't too suspenseful
either. The whole eye effects on the children was rather cheesy and
boring, and ruined the film. If They had left that out, the film could have
been a little more creepy.
The
acting was pretty good, the children all worked well on screen. Christopher
Reeves was a good cast for the role he played as the town Doctor. I loved
seeing Michael Pare in a movie again, I've missed him since Eddie & The
Cruisers (a favorite film of mine). I'm just a little upset he wasn't in the
film more.
I
think they should have shown the children growing up a little more, and told
us more about the other towns that this happened to. We never do find out why
they are here, or really where they came from, all we know is that it
happened, and how the other towns were destroyed.
I
don't think I'd watch this film again, unless I was really bored and had
nothing better to do.
