Synopsis:
A family tragedy alters the life of a
small child named Angela (played by Felissa Rose). Now what is the best
way to break her out of her self imposed exile? Why send her to
sleepaway camp of course, silly. This is your classic who dun it
"B" movie. As the campers wind up dead one at a time via
different methods, the remaining campers must stay alive and catch the killer
if possible. Could this family tragedy have something to do with
the murders? Tune in and see for yourself.
My
Review: As far as slasher movies go it
was OK. There was also an average death toll for this type of flick.
This film spawned two sequels which tells us that they were obviously
made in the early 1980s.
As I was watching this film I could not
help but notice how the Director was using music and certain camera angles
that were quite similar to "Friday the 13th." I always enjoy
when I can be the killer following my prey through the eye of the lens.
This movie was no "Friday the
13th," but if you liked that movie and seeing bare women's breasts
briefly, then you will probably like "Sleepaway Camp."
The surprise ending alone is worth the
trip.
