Synopsis:
In the sleepy town of Greensboro lives
Sidney Prescott ( Neve Campbell). Sidney is a young teenager who's mother had
been killed one year before. Sidney had testified in court that her mothers
lover had killed her. One year after her mothers death, another series of
mysterious murders take place.
The mysterious killer
admits to killing Sidney's mother, and attempts to kill Sidney also.
Unfortunately for the killer, Sidney is a little to smart for that. With the
help of her friends, her friends brother Dewey, and the overconfident reporter
Gail Weathers, Sidney strives to survive and spoil the killers plan.
Review:
Smart and funny are a
deadly combination. Just put Wes Craven in the drivers seat and your going for
a wild ride. Scream is the first of the new age slasher films. Its like this,
take all the survivors of the 70's and 80's slasher flims and have them teach
their kids how to stay alive. Now you have a whole new breed of smart victims.
So what is a killer to do, but change the rules.
Using films like Halloween, Friday the 13th,
and A Nightmare on Elm St, the kids of Greensboro study the rules of
traditional horror films and attempt to solve the killers game which makes the
movie all to thrilling.
This sensational slasher flic is ultra hip
and modern. A definite must see for any movie fan. Just remember the
rules of the game and you should be safe.....or will you?
