Synopsis
& Review:
Before there was the
Blair Witch, there was the Evil Dead. An absoloute classic movie written and
directed by Sam Raimi. A Cabin, mysterious woods, demons, and a group of
teens, all you need now is the kitchen sink. Ash, the S-mart working nice guy,
is played by Bruce Campbell,( who if you don't know him already you'll never
forget him).
A group of teens head out
into the woods planning on staying at an abandoned cabin for the weekend. With
nobody around for miles, what better location to throw a wild party. Upon
arriving at the cabin, the party hungry teens find a tape recorder with a
message left by Professor Knoby, the owner of the cabin.
While researching an ancient
text (the Necromomecon), the Professor had accidentally awakened demons within
the woods. The demons had taken over his wife, so he killed her and left her
body locked her down in the cellar. Then they came after him........
Deciding to stay anyway,
these teens are in for one hell of a night.
Possession, decapitation, and
the starting point of the legacy of Ash (Bruce Campbell) , this movie is a
must see for any horror fan. This is the first of three movies in the Evil
Dead series. Although all three movies are distinctly different, elements and
events of all three movies remain the same.
