CREEPSHOW

Director(s): George Romero

Writer(s): Stephen King

Cast: Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Fritz Weaver, Leslie Nielsen, Carrie
Nye, E.G. Marshall, Viveca Lindfors, Ed Harris, Ted Danson, and Gaylen Ross

Synopsis:   This movie comes in five vignettes that are each approximately twenty minutes in length.  The Original screenplay was written by the horror master Stephen King.  He based the premise on the 1950s comic books by D.C. Comics.

The Director George Romero teams up again with horror makeup artist Tom Savini (both of "Night of the living dead" fame).  The only thing that I can tell you about "Creepshow," without giving away the whole plot is that it involves, corpses from beyond the grave, a meteor that raises havoc upon a poor farmer (played by Stephen King himself), a mysteriously deadly crate and a scene with a million cockroaches.

My Review: I liked this movie because the five small tales seem to have something for everyone.  Along with a good cast and special affects (some outdated), after all this movie was made in 1982, "Creepshow" has plenty of disturbing moments along with a dash of humor to break the tension.

All in all a movie worth watching.
