Rajah is princess Jasmin's pet tiger who loves, cares, and feels for her in her times of pain and sadness. He is almost as tall as her shoulder, and can agressive at times, especially when meeting strangers. Princess Jasmine although, treats it like a overgrown cat, who will not cause any harm.

Rajah can distinguish between evil and good after he gets the hang of it. He even tries to attack Jafar when Jafar becomes a sultan, but fails.(hey, he's only a tiger) He obviously doesn't talk a lot, but he does growl at several occasions.

If you notice, Rajah is very similar to most tigers used in cartoon animations. Remember Sher Khan from The Jungle Book? Same stripes, same color, same pattern. But a totally different nature, since that Sher Khan had a problem with eating humans, this one cares for them. Also notice that tiger in Tarzan. I don't know it's name, but same thing with him. He has the same color, same pattern, same stripes, but once again very different in nature from Rajah. Silver Hawk includes several tigers with the same appearance as Rajah, along these are Thunder Cats, Winnie the pooh's Tigger. But Rajah is different from all of these. So, we can say Rajah is a unique tiger made only for Aladdin.
