Hello! You are the person to visit this website.

"I wish I could say something inspirational, but that just wouldn't be our style." -The Replacements

HI! Welcome to our webpage! This movie review page started out in April of 2000 with one movie reviewer, me, Linda. I love the movies as many people do and decided to share my "reviews" of them as a hobby. Since April 2000, I have asked a good friend of mine, and writer in her own right, Sarah, and asked her to join mein my movie reviewing endeavors. Most recently, my seven year old son, Matthew has taken an interest in Mommy's hobby and has thrown in a few reviews here and there as well. Please note that none of us are professional reviewers of any sort, and these reviews are simply our opinions..good or bad! We hope you enjoy our site and will visit often. Here's a little more information about us, and our site!

Our Ratings System: We rate our movie reviews on a 10 point system, 10 being for an excellent movie, 1 being for a very poor movie. As we are not a professional critics, we may give an extra point for any reason we like, i.e. favorite lead actor (LOL!), good soundtrack, etc.

ABOUT US:

LINDA: I'm married and the mom of one great little boy! I love the movies, but since having my child, going out to them is not a frequent activity. Most of my reviews will be done from rentals. I love most types of movies, thus my reviews vary greatly in film genre. My favorite actors are currently: Gary Sinise, Willem Dafoe, Bruce Willis, Jeremy Irons, Ethan Hawke and Billy Crudup. As for favorite actresses: Ashley Judd, Brittany Murphy, Diane Lane, Jessica Lange, Goldie Hawn, Sandra Bullock and Joan Allen.

SARAH:I'm a thirty-something housewife and mom of two who watches too much TV and believes dinner and a movie is still the greatest date combo on the planet. I love movies from all genres, all eras, as long as the story is good, the writing is well done, and the leading man is good looking! I have a soft spot in my heart for overblown historical sagas, as well as movies from the early 80's. My list of favorite actors reflects the respect I have for men who chose roles not because of commercial success but because they love to work. I think Russell Crowe is the best movie actor of our generation, and if you don't agree with me, well, that's your problem! :) My favorite movies of all time include: Gone with the Wind, Oh Brother, where Art Thou?, Gladiator, and Pretty in Pink, (but that's just to name a few.) As a reviewer, I promise to tell you exactly what I think, and I'll always be objective. I am not as obsessed with high brow art house film festival fodder as I am interested in stories that are told well.

MATTHEW: I'm a seven year old boy who loves television and the movies. My favorite kind of movies are comedies, horror, action and cartoons. I love to eat popcorn and drink juice while I watch movies!
