Don Coscarelli released Phantasm during the summer of 1979.
Since then there have been 3 more movies released in this series.
PHANTASM II: The Ball is Back / 1988
PHANTASM III: The Lord of The Dead / 1994
PHANTASM IV: Oblivion / 1998
PHANTASM'S END / "TENTATIVELY" 2002
I feel that PHANTASM: OBLIVION answered some questions but has also raised many more. Let's hope a Sequel is made.

GREAT NEWS! The Sequel is Finally in Production and will feature Bruce Campbell
in addition to Reggie, Michael and Angus!

That was the year I finished High School and signed up at the School of Hard Knocks...
That was when I first saw Him.
A Merciless and seemingly Unstoppable Entity...
That is when my world came face to face with...
THE TALL MAN

This is THE TALL MAN, formerly of IZAR.
He is now a Visitor deeply involved in a rather
mysterious endeavor here on our planet.
He has been here for centuries converting the lifeless
forms of the dearly departed into dwarf-slaves to be put to work on his homeworld.
Until the year 1979 his efforts had gone largely unopposed......
Mike is a very persistant young man.
He opposes The Tall Man because he believes that he must find the answers
to the mystery of his endeavors here in order to regain his Lost Family.
The Tall Man seems quite fond of this "BOY" therefore there may be much more in store for Mike than might meet the eye.
Ah yes, I would be remiss were I to overlook The Tall Man's most tenacious and powerful Human enemy.
The Unassuming "Ice Cream Man" REGGIE. This inventive and resourceful man has been a rather stubborn and at times
MOST PAINFUL Thorn in The Tall Man's side since 1979.
I do not believe that he can continue on his way unless he actually deals with Reg more decisively.
However, Reggie has a rather kindly old guardian Angel on his side.
I am sure that Reg has some good stuff in store for the Tall Man and his Mortuary Lackeys.
This Phan is sad to report that a simple lack of Money has stopped the THE TALL One in his tracks...
