ROSE AND JACK: 1999
Chapter Thirteen
Rose looked around her, there was something
about her surroundings that gave her peace.
"Rose, come here," she heard
someone say, someone familiar.
Rose looked up at the person in front of her,
"Daddy!"
"Yes, Rose, it's me, but there is
something you need to know," her father, Kyle Dewitt-Bukater said.
"What is it? What happened to me?"
Rose asked. "You were hit in the head, as was Jack, Caledon Hockley did
this," he replied.
"Is he all right?" Rose asked.
"He is all right, and waiting for you to
wake up," Kyle said.
"What did you need to tell me?" she
asked.
"I'm not your father," he replied.
"Yes, you are," Rose said in
disbelief.
"No, a man named Gregory Jackson
is," Kyle replied.
"Why isn't my last name Jackson
then?" Rose asked.
"Never mind that, I had to tell you this
so that you could find him and know about him," Kyle said.
"Why didn't Mother tell me?" Rose
asked.
"Your mother didn't want you to know
about him," he replied. "I love you, daddy," Rose said.
"I love you too, Rose Dawson," Kyle
said.
"What? What did you say?" Rose
asked, and then she woke up.
"Rose, are you all right?" Jack
asked her.
"Jack, I love you," Rose said.
Jack kissed her, "I love you too."
"Jack I need to talk to my mother,"
Rose said.
"Rose, what is it?" Ruth asked.
"I know about Gregory," Rose said.
"Gregory? Who told you?" Ruth
asked.
"Never mind, why didn't you tell
me?" Rose asked.
"Gregory is a person of my past, I
didn't want you to think of the past, I wanted you to have a decent father,
that's why," Ruth replied. "Where is he today?" Rose asked.
"He still lives in Boston,
Massachusetts," Ruth replied.
"Then I need two tickets to Boston,"
Rose said.
"Two?" Ruth asked.
"One for Jack and one for me," Rose
said.
Jack walked in with Mandy, Delia, and even
Jill and Kristi!
"Jill! Kristi! Oh my God, how did you
get here?" Rose asked.
"Well, we heard about what happened so
we came here to make you get better," Jill said. "I have a surprise
for everyone," Kristi said.
"What is it this time?" Jack asked.
"I have a new boyfriend," Kristi
said. "What's his name?" Rose asked.
"Bobby Garrison, and I have to go get
him out of the car, so hold on just one second," Kristi said and ran out
of the room.
"So, any more surprises?" Mandy
asked.
"Just one," Jill said and brought
Lance into the room.
"Who is this?" Delia asked.
"This is my new boyfriend Lance
Kristofer," Jill said. "And this is, who's this?" Kristi asked
when she brought Bobby into the room.
"Jill's new boyfriend, Lance
Kristofer," Delia said.
Suddenly, Fabrizio, Tommy, and Zack walked
in.
"What the hell is going on around
here?" Tommy asked.
"This is Kristi's boyfriend Bobby
Garrison, and this is Jill's boyfriend Lance Kristofer," Jack said.
"Well, I have a surprise for everybody
too," Tommy said.
"So do I, but mine can wait," Rose
said.
"Well, everybody, this is my new
girlfriend, Macy Baker," Tommy said and pulled Macy in.
Rose knew she had to tell everybody, "I
know who did this to Jack and me."
"Who?" they all asked in unison.
"Caledon Hockley," Rose said.
"That son of a bitch I'm gonna kill him
if it's the last thing I do," Jack said.
"Well, Jack and I are going to
Boston," Rose said.
"We are?" Jack asked.
"To see my father," Rose said.
"Didn't he die?" Jill asked.
"My real father," Rose said, and
the whole story poured out.
