  • Book of the Dead/Necronomicon
  • Movie Poster Display
Since its inception, the Movie Maniacs series has been one of McFarlane Toys' best-selling lines and the third line of Movie Maniacs figures is no different. After requests and several petition by fans of the Evil Dead film series and the McFarlane toy series, Ash has made it into the limelight. This figure designed from the film Army of Darkness stands 6 7/8" tall with 8 points of articulation and comes packaged with mini-Evil Ash, shotgun, chainsaw, gauntlet glove, fork, book of the dead and movie poster display.
Some people have complained about the facial features of the Ash figure. As all fans know, Bruce Campbell (Ash) made many memorable faces throughout the movie. The face on the figure isn't much though I feel it is definately in his likeness and therefore good. As well the left arm isn't much in terms of poses but I personally don't think that detracts from the figure. The biggest problem is that the sheath for the shotgun can come away from the body if you have the gun holstered too long.
All in all I give this figure an alls good. Minor flaws aren't anything to gripe about. And concidering the quality of the figure and design I can overlook them easily. Any fan of the Evil Dead series should own one of these figures. And if you're a fan of the action figures McFarlane Toys puts out this is a must have. If you are into collecting action figures, dolls or similar then concider picking one of these up. Bruce Campbell isn't dead yet and his fame will only grow and with it, the demand for this figure.
