This is the true story of two bankrobbers. Sonny and Sal go into the bank with the aim to be out in 30 mins. However there is no money in the bank and so it turns into a twelve
hour media circus as word of the robbery spreads. The police surround the building but Sonny and Sal know that they have hosteges to bargin with.
Sonny asks the police to bring his wife to him, this turns out to be Leon a man. It turns out that Sonny wanted the money in order to pay for Leon's sex change
operation. Sonny talks Sal and the more than co-operative hosteges that if they ask for a helicopter to the airport that they could escape in a jet to Algeria.
