The teenage girl known as Rogue joined the X-Men in a last ditch attempt to learn how to control the genetic attributes that are equally her blessing and her curse - that is, the ability to absorb the memories, talents, and energy of others through the contact of her skin. Tragically, she has yet to control this power - and so she is forced to keep those she loves the most at arm's length.
