Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is amazing! If ever you want to feel like you're in Africa, without actually going to Africa, go here. They even speak Swahili!

This photo had to be first on the Animal Kingdom page.
This is AK's 'Cinderella's Castle', its 'Spaceship Earth', its 'Mouse Ears Water Tower'. (I don't know if that thing has a better name. That's what everyone calls it.) In other words, The Tree of Life is the centrepiece of Animal Kingdom. It's huge, and carved with, I don't know, a zillion animals. Something like that. Maybe 200? It looks amazing. And yes, for people out there like Melanie, the animals are real. You can't really see them in the photo, but they're mainly deer and kangaroos, plus a truckload of birds.

For some reason Aladar doesn't walk around the park, but I managed to get a photo with him anyway.

The best part of Animal Kingdom is the Kilimanjaro Safaris, which is a journey through a huge area where the deer and the antelope play, as well as rhinos, lions, and heaps of other African animals. It's just like going on a real safari, not that I've ever been on a real safari, but I imagine it is.

The tour guide on this also speaks a bit of Swahili, and when he asked if anyone knew the Swahili word for lion, I was the only one who answered. The answer? Simba, of course!
