Highlights include a third alarm at 1444 Rhode Island Avenue NW, where numerous people were trapped; a fully involved row house at 1923 2nd Street NW; and the second alarm that . engulfed the rear of several row homes in the 900 block of Decatur Street NW on a sweltering July afternoon. Among the more unusual incidents is a blazing underground transformer vault in the vicinity of the White House and an Amtrak locomotive on fire at Union Station. The videographer has donated all of his profits to the Friendship Fire Association, which provides canteen and rehab services in the nation’s capital, and staffs and maintains the city’s fire museum.
