European GP Highlights This race probably sums up the chaotic 1999 season at it's best, with points being passed inadvertently between several different teams. The McLaren team floundered again, putting Hakkinen on wets when it was not wet enough, while Ferrari famously forgot one of Irvine's tyres during his pitstop. Then four different drivers for four different teams took the lead, then retired: Frentzen, Coulthard, Fisichella and Ralf Schumacher.
