CHANCE TURBO!

We have a recent addition to our pages. This is some information about the Chance Turbo sent to me by WestCoastPat.

Hello Kyle. I read your post on RRC and was happy to see another person interested in the TURBO. I have been studying the history of the ride for the last few months, and have a little info I would be happy to share with you.

First-the TURBO that is at CLP is racked on the trailers and will never be used at the park. It came from the now defunct and closed Old Indiana Family and Waterpark. It is now sitting and waiting for a court to decide the legal owner. At the first opportunity, the people at CLP will sell the ride to someone-they have a list of names (including mine) of people that have expressed interest in purchasing it. The ride was operational when it was last set up, but the lighting will need major work to make it operational. The Old Indiana park only operated during the daylight hours, so they spent no time or money on the lights for the ride. The director of maintenance told me that he would be thrilled to get $10,000.00 for the ride when he has the legal clearance to sell it.

One of the people that has expressed an interest in purchasing the ride from CLP is located in Missouri from what I understand and has tow TURBO rides already and wants to purchase this one for parts.

There is another TURBO ride located in California with the winter quarters near Sacramento. That ride is also for sale-only $40,000.00. It is used only at about 1 or 2 spots a year if that and the owner says it is in very good shape. He went thru the hydraulics a year ago and all the lights work.

I have attached a picture of the TURBO that I think was from the Old Indiana Park-but I am not sure of that.

I hope this helps a little bit, and hope to hear back from you-maybe we can track down one of these damn rides that is working and actually get to see it and ride it.
