Designated Routes in Nature and Time
2008, Super 8mm, 7 min.

During the summer of 2008 I was asked by a friend, Ron Merk, to show some timelapse films as a last minute thing for a local filmmaker resource get together in SF. Ron had arranged for a live music accompaniment by Oakland's "Harpist from the Hood", Destiny Muhammad.

I quickly put together a small collection of mostly nature images (ALL shot in super 8 film! ALL natural fades) for the screening, and Destiny had got to see it only a couple of hours before our audience arrived. Neither one of us knew each other before this and nothing had been planned ahead of time.

I wish I had a better quality recording of the audio, but nonetheless... Here is the result of my film and her beautiful music. Filmed in California, Nevada, Upstate New York, Hawaii, and Northern Mexico. Enjoy.
