Paranormal News - http://www.paranormalnews.com Beth, Please accept my apology. If you thought I was calling you a dictator, that was not my intention. My reference was to the fact that your RESPONSE exhibited the "habits of the Christian Church," which have been dictatorial for nearly 2000 years, as history will attest. It stems from the Christian belief that everything that does not line up with Biblical dogma is, I believe you used the word, "evil." I am sorry that you feel that my observation required your defending youself with reference to your personal experience. I am sure that you have your reasons for believing as you do. I am sure that they are strong reasons and I would never question them, nor ask YOU to believe otherwise. It is also a fact that we all have our own personal experiences that have lead us down the spiritual paths that we have taken. I believe that none are any better or worse reasons than yours. Well, I said that I would not argue with you, and I will not. I will, however, correct you on one point. The biblical quote is "judge not, lest ye be judged BY THE SAME MEASURE." That last part makes a great deal of difference. It is often forgotten. I, myself did not realize the importance of those words until I had left the Christian Church and reread the Bible (for the fourth or fifth time). Again, please accept my apologies for any perceived PERSONAL attack. I again send bright blessings your way. I love all of my fellow humans and only wish to see peace among them. Blessed be all. Did this subject hit a nerve or what. Greg, I'd enjoy to hear your ideas/dialog on the subject. I find it almost amusing how touchy people can be about their religious believes. I realizes this subject hits close to a persons "true being", "true self" or "home", whatever you want to call it , but people, please...... religion is a very deeply personal thing. I doubt any two people would agree on each and every aspect of their beliefs.
" I say.... to each his own."
Yes, some are more extreme than others (i.e., Jesus is the antichrist, one would have to believe in a Christ to believe in an antichrist) but I believe most people would agree with the idea that there is a "Superior Being", however they chose to go about their act of worship. I say.... to each his own. Everyone must find their own god in their own way. God is personal. God is our soul. No one can, nor should tell me what or how to believe. People relax, no one is asking you to give up your god, we're just sharing our ideas/beliefs, no judging allowed. Happy Christmas (belated) All, Dry... > >
