The Post -Zombie Apocalypse Film! The darkest Dead film in the DEAD TRILOGY.
Directed by George A.Romero
The Ulitmate Horror film ever! I love this film, one of the factors being that it envolves zombies that have taken over the world..not taking but TAKEN, The best zombie and gore effects ever done in a horror film and great characters, specially the bad army guys. Lots of dememberment set with an eerie and great soundtrack. Dark momments, intense scenes, suspense and pure terror. My favorite all time horror film by my favorite director...George Romero.
The film takes place 5yrs after the first film in the dead series, "Night of the living Dead" and that was followed by the horror masterpiece "Dawn of the Dead". A small group of soldiers and scientist take refuge in an underground missle silo. The Brutal sexiest soldiers trape and herd the zombies that remain underground and the scientist work hard studying them to find out the cause of the zombie epidemic but it's all in vain. One thing that makes this film such a cult classic is the test zombie "bub", which in all the chaos of the post apocalyptic events still has a trace of humanity left in him and his former self. He salutes the officers and even has the abilty to fire a gun...hint hint*.
Through out the film there is a constant conflict
between the two groups that ultimately lead to their downfall. The climax is a blood filled explosion of gore which is not to be missed for NOTHING! If you love horror and have not seen this film yet, you should be hung! Go see this movie, not for the weak.
Spotlight
Romero is truly one of a kind. His unique vision for horror is on the scale with Alfred Hitchcock! George Romero made horror what it is today.
![]() The GodFather of gore! The special effects wizard who has brought you some of the most disturbing images to the screen over the past 20 years. Know for his work on Romero's Dead Trilogy, both Dawn of the Dead and Day of the dead. Considering he was sent to Vietnam for recording some photographs of the war, he didn't get the chance to work on Night of the living Dead which was released in 1969. Other films include Maniac, Friday the 13th:The final Chapter, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, The Burning, Two Evil Eyes, Monkey Shines. Tom Savini is better known for his team work with George Romero, they are the true horror tagteam. Tom also acts and did some stunt work in Dawn of the Dead, he also directed the remake of Night of the living dead. If it wasn't for him, horror movies would just look so dull.
