History: Rodan is a pteranodon mutated by nuclear radiation. Two appeared in a mine shaft in 1956. One died, the other buried in a volcano. It came out again in 1964, and fought Godzilla but then joined the fight to save the world against Ghidora on three occasions. It currently resides on Monster Island.

Rodan is a legendary powerful fighter. His hurricane gusts can level whole cities or knock other monsters backwards. He is also a skilled fighter of the air, able to maneuver at speeds that few could ever achieve. Rodan is also a vicious fighter at close range, but prefers to attack at a distance. A cunning warrior, Rodan uses his speed to dodge and distract while using the cover of the surroundings or using items such as boulders for weapons. Although a great fighter overall, Rodan does lack the stamina and the special attacks that would put him with the best.
