John Bear Lozano

My greatest respect and undying thanks go to John Sas-ch-a Lozano.

Lozano, Lakota and Choctaw, whose middle name, Sas-ch-a (pronounced sasha ay), means "Bear Inside -- opened his caring heart and blessed me with stories, song, sage, smoke and feathers during a week-long visit to his home of Las Vegas, NV.

In the beautiful Red Rock Canyon, his strong voice echoed, his personal spirits danced and the shamanic energy showered me with unconditional love and acceptance. John Bear's healing ritual touched my heart and showed me the sun shining on a new path. Both during and after that ceremony, this peaceful path has allowed me to navigate through the walls of change and grief to see the spirits of love and power holding a spot for me in that same sun.

I am eternally grateful for his smiling heart and immense knowledge. My thanks also go to M.A. Peggy Vornberg, the artist Lynn Bean, my dear friend, Landa Gibbons Rader and, always, my love goes to Annette Marie Chaney.

Hoka Hey! (The best is yet to come!)
