I have to deeply thank Dana Robinson who is a C.S.C. -- Certified Shamanic Counselor, with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.
Dana & Shana shared their enthusiasm and joy in the entire process of shamanic journeying. Their drumming, chants and dancing allowed the easy transfer to and flow of energy through all of us in attendance.
Dana said that he has always been interested in different paths, including the internal martial arts, ecstatic Christianity, Eastern religions and philosophies, and meditation. He met Michael Harner, taking the Basic workshop in 1981, and felt that he had found what he had been looking for: "a spirituality that offered direct experience, promoted intimacy with the natural world, enabled one to help others, and demanded personal freedom."
Dana has been teaching Foundation workshops for the past thirteen years in the SouthEastern region of the United States. He "believes there are always new things to learn and new people to meet." He also works privately with people as requests arise.
He says: "The shamanic path has taught me to enjoy life more: I think that it is a wonderful way to awaken one's awareness. Besides running and swimming daily, and writing occasionally, I also play golf, a game with a spiritual component, and derive particular pleasure from the birds and squirrels in the woods behind my house and the thousands of other miracles that surround all of us daily."
As he said to us, "Shamans have been Magicians -- doing magic for thousands of years. There are shamans on every continent, except Antartica -- and, maybe the Penguins down there are doing Shamanic Journeying!"
Way to go, Dana!
Thanks for sharing your miracles!
