Welcome To

I-Recycle.org

Launched on November 1, 2005, I-Recycle.org hopes to serve as a resource for individuals wishing to learn more about recycling, as a meeting point for individuals who have items to recycle with others, and as a gateway for everyone and anyone who would like to begin helping our environment by reducing, reusing, and recycling.

I-Recycle, and you can, too!

Who are we?

So far, we is me. I am Robyn Cornell from Huxley, Iowa. I’m a single mom of three great kids.

Why would I start something like this?

For many reasons…

  1. I love the environment, and anything I can do to help it is one step in the right direction.
  2. I was a dedicated member of another recycling website that has a different focus. I think there is a definite need for a service such as this, and why not me?
  3. I love to work with people, and I love the Internet. I think we have a match!

There are just a couple of my reasons for launching I-Recycle.org. If you’d ever like to speak with me, please don’t hesitate to email me directly. My email address is Robyn@I-Recycle.org. I’d love to hear from you!

Is this really a free service?

Absolutely! There is no fee for using I-Recycle.org and there never will be. We do ask for your personal information that is kept strictly confidential for safety precautions, but we do not require a fee for this service.

You will see that we have a link to PayPal. This is totally optional. Running a website does cost money, so we ask for donations. There is a webpage on the site that details exactly where our funds are spent. Eventually, we hope to have enough money to provide services and meetings for the members of the forums and the general public, but this is a long way away.

I-Recycle.org is in the process of becoming a non-profit organization and will also be applying for federal non-profit status which will make all contributions tax deductible. We will keep you posted on these events.

Why isn’t I-Recycle.org nationwide?

Everything has to start somewhere. I-Recycle.org is starting in my home state. Eventually, we would love to expand to other states, but at this time, we are only in Iowa. If you are serious about I-Recycle.org expanding in your state, please email me at Robyn@I-Recycle.org, and I’d be happy to discuss it with you.
