Paganism is an umbrella term for Earth-based religions. Paganism encompasses all sorts of religions, such as Wicca, Shamanism, Asatru, Druidism and even Goddess-worship. Some of these religions are new (such as Wicca) and some are pre-Christian in origin (such as Druidism). Wicca is by far the most popular Pagan path, which is why I focus on it so much despite not being Wiccan.

Pagans have a huge range of beliefs, and it's difficult to find even one thing that all Pagans believe. However, two beliefs that are almost universal are that everything is connected, and everything is sacred - especially nature.

Unfortunately, there are many misconceptions out there about what Paganism really is, by both non-Pagans and people who claim to be Pagan.

Don't be scared off by the name! This is a great site with accurate information about Wicca.
Another great Wiccan site. I don't agree with everything on it, but overall, it's a good site.
