This dynamic program is all about the art of visual storytelling. Maybe you've been inspired by the recent explosion of 2D and 3D digitally-animated broadcast and entertainment animation. Do you have a story and character of your own to develop? Perhaps you want to apply these same animation skills to web development or the video game world. Either way, the Digital Animation program can be your path into the industry.
SAFE 1000 Introduction to WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems):This course offers the students the introduction to WHMIS, which is training required by any person employed in a Nova Scotia workplace. This is a generic, introductory course that provides basic knowledge in WHMIS for the workplace and is considered to be the basis from which more specific training can be given.
SAFE 1001 Introduction to NS OH&S Act:This course offers the students the introduction to the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Act of Nova Scotia, which is required by any person employed in a Nova Scotia workplace. This is a generic, introductory course that provides basic knowledge of the Act for the students and is considered to be the basis from which more specific training can be given.
DIAN 2996COOP Cooperative Education:The Digital Animation Program is eligible for optional Co-operative Education. Co-op is a NSCC credit course. Co-op provides an opportunity for paid employment between the first and second year of your program, while completing the learning outcomes of the course. Employers, as co-educators provide learning opportunities beyond the bounds of the classroom giving you a well-rounded education enriched by practical application.
