“A gentle answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger.”

-Proverbs 15:1

“A simpleton can learn only by seeing mockers punished;
A wise person learns from instruction.”

-Proverbs 21:11

***In other words, a fool only notices his mistakes when he sees other people being punished for their wrong doings, but wise people learn when someone tells them something the first time.

“A heart at peace gives life to the body,
But envy rots the bones.”

-Proverbs 14:30

And

“A cheerful heart is good medicine,
But a crush spirit dries up the bones.”

-Proverbs 17:22

***In other words, you should always try to stay cheerful because staying happy because when you’re sad it brings up many negative ideas (especially to teenagers) like suicide… and it does indeed “rot up the bones,” life is wasted.

“There are ‘friends’ who destroy each other,
But a real friend sticks closer than a brother.”

-Proverbs 18:24

***This is how you can tell if the people you hang out with are your true friends or not.

“Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor,
Only fools insist of quarreling.”

-Proverbs 20:3

***You should always try to avoid a fight because anything can spring up. You never know, your opponent just might have a weapon on him… that’s why school fights should be for a good reason, not just because someone bumped into you and dropped your binder. Or because there some girl you like that’s actually been cheating on you and some other guy and you guys fight for her “love.”

“Gossip tells secrets,
So don’t hang with someone who talks too much.”

-Proverbs 20:19

“If you keep your mouth shut,
You will stay out of trouble.”

-Proverbs 21:23

“Love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.
Then your reward will be great…”

-Luke 6:35

***Sometimes we really hate or dislike people for a long time, and it’s either because they are really mean to you. Well, just treat them nicely, and you’ll feel good inside. Soon they’ll begin to think why you’re being so nice them… and will probably change their opinion about you…
