I was born, on April 29, 1983 at Kingston Memorial Hospital! (Same place as Doug Gilmore!!) It was from what I was told, a rain storm, and a pretty bad one at that. My Father had just stepped into the hall to get a Pepsi! When the doctor came running out to say "If you want to see this baby born, you better come quick" And without giving my mom any trouble there I was, little Jeffrey Michael William Cournoyea!! From the hospital I was brought home, to our house in Macauley Village, in Picton Ontario!! (the heights for all of us County people) There I was raised with my younger brother Jordan. I lived at this house for years, with a one month stay over in Brampton, (aged 7) living with my dad!! Then I came back to Picton!! I continued to live there until I was 12 then I moved up to Shelburne, ON!! And I lived with my dad, until the middle of Grade 11~!~
While in Shelburne, I ran for Student Council Rep of my high school (Centre Dufferin District High School) It was a blow-out victory!! I continued to rule the school for another semester!! Then came the March Break...That was an Awesome Week!! That is when my love for Jehovah first started to develop
While at my mom's, she gave me a book to read, it was called Daniels Prophecy!! It is published by Jehovah's Witnesses, I found this book to be very informative, and it moved my conscience into action...so I decided to forsake my prior way of life, for a life serving Jehovah God!! I went back to Shelburne with one of the most positive outlooks, I have ever had!!! Unfortunately, trying to be a witness is not an easy thing, I met up with my persecution, in a place I never thought I would. My father, upset at the fact that I was now studying the bible with the Witnesses, decided to move me to my moms, so in late march or early April, I was moved from Shelburne, to Picton....while in Picton it only took 5 months to get back into my old habits, I started smoking pot again, and living a completely ungodly way of life.
From Picton I moved into my x-girlfriends house in Belleville, I lived there with her mom and her, for about 5 months. Her mother is an amazing person, and went way out of her way to make me feel comfortable there, unfortunately this tale ends in tragedy as well!! With living with my girlfriend, we ended up getting on each others nerves really really bad, and I felt like I was being taken advantage of, so I decided to put a stop to it, and that led to a huge fight, and my inevitably being kicked out of the house!! So with no place to go, I was wondering the streets of Belleville!
As I walked down the streets for hours, I came across some people moving, I decided to give them a hand, and after helping them move, We went back up to their apartment to have a beer and shoot the breeze!! While talking over some brewskies, I told the tenant of my situation, and she said well lucky you, I actually have a bedroom available, my other room mate decided to move to Thunder bay!! I decided not to ponder this for too long, and jumped on the chance, so I moved in that night!!
Moving out on my own in Belleville was one of the biggest mistakes of my life, I ended up smoking pot, everyday, and I got into trouble with the law, and I had no direction. Eventually I had 3000 dollars worth of stuff stolen from me!! It wasn't too nice.
I moved from Belleville to Shelburne again, and I kind of just lived with my uncle, then friends, then my fathers house. While there, I decided to start studying the bible with Jehovah's People again. Unfortunately It was also short lived, I managed to study whole heartedly (doing well in the truth as well) for about 6 months, before I started to lead a double life. Ashamed by what I was doing, and the reproach I was not only bringing on the congregation in Picton, but also on Jehovah's Name! I decided to leave again.
One of the hardest decisions I have ever had to do...I just decided upon recently. It is also the most beneficial decision I have ever made. A couple of Months ago, I told all of my friends, who weren't Jehovah's Witnesses, that I was done with my old life. I prayed to Jehovah so hard...that he help me come back to his wonderful organization. It took a lot of courage, and supplication. But I started to have a study. And started to come back to meetings. I felt Jehovah's Blessings, instantly in my life. I was able to break free, from so many bad habits. And I was able to go to the recent District Convention. I have just recently dedicated myself to Jehovah. And I am looking forward to a lifelong career of service to him...I would love to end up at bethel one day!! but till then...I will just focus on fortifying myself spiritually and making it through the rapidly approaching great tribulation. Now I am living in Picton, My younger brother is living in Shelburne, ON. I am trying desperately to get him to move down. As for me and the future...well only time will tell!! I will try and update this as much as possible. Again I beg everyone for their suggestions!!
