To celebrate Veterans' Day yesterday (my grandpa fought in Korea and jumped out of helicopters, along with my pediatrician! YEAH!), my family ate corn, Manwiches, and asparagus with hollandaise sauce. (This sauce is special to me because the night I first had it I'd just come back from buying my first left-to-right manga -the one where Gokuh and Piccolo take on Raditzu and Piccolo loses his arm. Good stuff.) Unfortunately, this morning I woke up with a tummyache. In the bathroom it turned out to just be gas, which brings to mind a joke that Kaio-sama told in the Japanese version of DBZ: "What vegetable gives you gas in the morning? Asparagus!" Because in Japanese, asparagus is pronounced something like 'asuparagasu.'
