The Jamestown Bridge
Jamestown, Piedmont Triad, NC

Nearly every area of the country has one...the legend of the girl in the white dress that will get in your car on a rainy night along some lonely road..and then disappear before you can get her home. That's the legend of the Jamestown Bridge and Lydia, the ghostly girl.
So, when we visited here, we really didn't expect to see anything. We figured it was just another urban legend, but since it had a ghostly story about it, we figured "what the hell". Guess maybe we might have been wrong.
There are two lights, one on either side of the bridge, that are orange traffic lights to warn of the bridge. It had been raining that night, so the orange light reflects off the wet pavement. The bright white light in the center doesn't reflect. There were no other cars on the road at that time. If there had been, we wouldn't have stopped and looked crazy taking pictures of a haunted bridge at night.
