The perpetualness
Of teenage bliss
Days wasted away
On meaingless things
Who's going where
Who has who
What will I wear
And who did you screw?
Looking on later in life
Most realize its pointless
But some try to hang on
Because they were the ruler of the prom
And others were just apart of the freak show
Gossip circulated
Reputations made
Validictorians now work
Middle class jobs
Horrible slovs of then
Are mircale workers now
Good times lost
Put away in our memory
Like a picture in a book
Never to be looked upon again
Old flames
Smothered in ashes
Long,lost
Never to be re-kindled
One last time
Dances are now only
Dusty disco balls
The great CDs of yester year
Now found in the back of an old foggies store
As we reach for the reald world
For our great jobs & new cars
Something hold us back
Beckoning us to stay out late & have a street race just once before we get old
Some give in
Ending up stuck in the past
Most move on
Wishing about how it would have last
Like when we say remember the time
'Once in that play when we forgot our lines?'
We laugh merrily
Then go back to our stuff little offices
For this was the bliss
Of teenage perptualness
