You Never Know

The room was softly lit in candlelight. In the middle of the room was an antique rod iron bed. The two individuals are bathed in the glow of candlelight.

“Paige,” Sean gently said.

“Hmm”

“What are you thinking about?”

“Nothing”

Sean pulls Paige into he’s arms. “You know you can tell me anything.” Paige looked up into Sean’s beautiful dark blue eyes. “ I know I can. I just don’t know if I should tell anyone.”

“Paige, If its upsetting you this much maybe you should talk about it.”

Paige turns over out of Sean’s arms. Paige spoke very softly at first. “ I...I...I saw my sister kissing another man.

“Which sister?” Sean asked with concern.

“Piper, I just can’t believe she would cheat on Leo, especially with him.”

“Paige you’ve lost me. “What man?”

“It’s not important. Let’s just get some sleep.”

Sean pulled Paige into a gently embrace and for the first time in a week. Paige felt relieved and safe. She could not believe how quickly she trusted this exciting amazing man. Only thing she knows it’s like she has known him all her life. With this last thought, She closed her eyes and fell off to sleep.

Sean, on the other hand, was wondering whom Paige was talking about. Who’s this guy? That has upset the woman, he was falling in love with. He could not believe he was falling in love. He just knew, when he lost his family his destiny was to be alone. And to fall for someone who was forbidden and knowing there could be dire consequences.

Piper walks into her bedroom. The only light on was the one that was in Wyatt’s room. After working all night at P3. She was glad to be home. Piper just wanted to check on her beautiful baby boy. Piper entered Wyatt’s room and Crystal, the elf nanny, was lying Wyatt down.

Piper said in almost a whisper, “Good Evening Crystal. Is everything all right?”

Crystal looks up. “Oh yes ma’am, He’s just a little fussing tonight. I think he’s missing his father and his aunt.”

Piper frowns at the statement like she was hit in the face with a glass of cold water.

“Crystal, I’m missing them too.” Piper said harshly.

“Ma’am, I didn’t mean anything by it. I know you miss your husband and I know you’re worried about Miss Paige.”

Piper softens her voice. “ I’m sorry, Crystal. Phoebe and I don’t know why she’s avoiding us or I should say me.”

“If that’s all, I will be going now.”

“Yea, you can go. Crystal again I’m sorry and thanks.”

“Think nothing of it. I know you’re under a lot of stress.” Crystal smiles with her last statement and flashes out.

Piper walks over to Wyatt’s crib and looks in on him.

“I miss them too, Wyatt. I can’t do anything about your daddy not being here, but I’m going to find out what’s with your Aunt Paige. I promise.”

Piper kisses Wyatt on the forehead and raises the side of his crib. She turns the light off and walks into her own bedroom. The room was light by moonlight. She wandered if she should go and wake up Phoebe, to see if she was able to talk to Paige today. Phoebe had found out from Darryl, a couple days ago, Paige got the job at the college working as a liaison for students that are victim of violent crimes and the police department. Darryl said something about she helps them by protecting and informing them of their rights. Darryl said that they are a lot less intimidated by the police and are a lot more likely to talk. He said she’s the boss. She was about to go and wake up Phoebe, when she heard orbs behind her. Piper turns around and standing there is Chris. He was holding one red rose and a smile. Chris leans in kisses her.

“I’ve missed you.” Chris hands her the rose and pulls her into a hug.

Piper pulls away and walks towards Wyatt’s room.

“Chris, I’ve missed you too. I just—”

“Just wants to slow down” Chris said interrupting Piper. Yea I know.” Chris says with a hint of disappointment in his voice.

“Chris, I just don’t want to get you in trouble with the Elders and Leo.”

“ Piper, we don’t have to worry about Leo.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“I ...umm...I mean being an Elder he’s must have other things to do. I know he’s not watching.” Chris said a little worried.

“Leo said he would always be watching” retorted Piper.

“He does I sure but he can’t watch all the time. Leo does have lots of responsibility” countered Chris.

“ I know. I just feel like we shouldn’t be doing this.”

“Piper, You have the right to move on with your life.”

“Chris I don’t want to talk about this right now. I have other things on my mind.” Piper said with a raised voice.

Chris backs up remembering what happen the last time that she got upset. He did not want a repeat performs of flying across the room. She may have had the power of the Greek gods but she knew she had a temper if pressed. “All right Piper but is there anything I can do.”

Piper closed her eyes. “Yea, just hold me.”

Chris steps forward and wrap his arms around her and kiss her on the top of the head.

The alarm goes off and Paige reaches up and turns it off. She turns over in bed where Sean had been the night before. There lying on his pillow, is the same thing that has been there since they started sleeping together. Paige reached over and picked up the paper rose and the notes. Paige knew what the note would say but seem to want to read it anyway.

Darling,

I went for a run will shower at the gym at the university. I’ll call you for lunch.

I LOVE YOU!

Sean

Paige blinks and reads out loud to herself. “I love you. He loves me.” Paige’s stomach tightens and a small smile crosses her lips. She looks around the room in the daylight. The room is an extension of him. The Irish items lying around tell where he comes from. She thinks back how he told her he grew up outside of Connemara Ireland. There was also a baseball on his dresser signed by the 89’ Chicago Cubs. Sean had told her. He spent his summers in Chicago along with his brothers and sisters. They stayed with his maternal grandparents. Where his love for baseball begin. Paige laughed at how she teased him that the Giants was a lot better team then the Cubs and how he defended his team. She looked at the three words again and realized that she was in love with him too. A small frown crossed her face. “How could I be so happy and so sad at the same time” she thought?

Paige got up and headed to take a shower. She knew she could not avoid Phoebe today. Phoebe had to leave yesterday before she could talk to her. How is she going to tell Phoebe what she saw? After they vanquished the demon, Adessa, a week and half ago she left the Manor.

She left upset and decided to return Sean’s check. He split coffee on her and she drops her wallet. Sean returns her wallet along with a two hundred-dollar check to pay for the damage to her outfit.

Phoebe would surely be at her work waiting for her. Paige thought how she would have to explain where she has been stay all week. She’s not sure if she can or why she stayed with someone she didn’t even know at the time. She just knew for some reason that she could trust this man.

Paige steps out of the room and runs into someone. Paige looks up. “Who the hell are you?”

“I could ask you the same thing.” The gentleman smiled. “I’m Ian. A friend of Sean and I would say your more then a friend.” He laughs and looks Paige up and down examining the situation.

Paige tightens Sean’s old terry robe. “Sean not here and how did you get in here?”

“Like I said Sean’s a friend of mine. So are you going to tell me where Sean is?”

Paige paused for a second and wondered if she could trust him. “He’s should be teaching his class.”

“Oh that’s right. It’s Friday he has a morning class.”

He turns to leave and Paige grabs his arm. “You didn’t say how you got in here or how you knew Sean.”

“You’re right I didn’t.” Ian turns back around and headed down the stairs.

Paige stood there dumbfounded by this man. She wanted to know how Sean knew him. She would ask him first thing when he calls to go to lunch.

Ian went down stairs and into the kitchen. He said to himself “Sean what are you doing. You know it is forbidden for you to be with a witch.” Ian shook his head in disbelieves and orbs out.

Phoebe was sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee and reading the paper. Piper walks in the kitchen carrying Wyatt.

Phoebe looks up. “Good Morning, Honey.”

“Good Morning, Pheebs.” Piper sits Wyatt in his high chair.

Phoebe grabs Wyatt’s hand and shakes it. “Good Morning little man did you slept well.” Wyatt starts to giggle.

Piper looks at Phoebe intently. “Phoebe did you talk to Paige yesterday.”

“No, I was called back to the paper. I plan to try to catch her today on my lunch break.”

“So did you even see her? How did see look?”

“Piper, her assistant told me that she was in a meeting. I was going to wait but like I said; I was called back to the paper. You know you could try talking to her again.”

Piper thought back to about a week ago when she called her. Paige was so angry and seemed so hurt. When she asked her what was wrong. All she said was, “ You should know.” Then without another word, she hung up when she tried to call her back she would not even pickup. “Phoebe, you know she won’t talk to me but at least she’s speaking to you.”

“Oh that’s what you call it. As long as, it’s about the weather or some other unimportant topic, she stays on the phone but when I start to question her where she is or why you’re avoiding us. She makes up an excuse to go.”

“Phoebe I’m worried about her. I don’t know what happen.”

Phoebe gets up and goes over to her. She pulls her big sister into a hug. “So is this how it felt when you play peacemaker between Prue and me.”

Piper laugh “Yea! Stuck between you two. I would always be dragged into your civil war. I spent my childhood, teenage years, and adulthood trying to make you two stop fighting.”

Phoebe released her hug to look into Pipers eyes and a mischievous grin crossed her lips. “The curse of the middle child and I have now inherited it.

Piper smiled. “ So have you had breakfast?”

“No, I’ll just grab a bagel at work. If I want to try to catch, Paige on my lunch break, I better get going. I have a lot of work to do on my column.” Phoebe hugs her sister gives her peck on the check. She then bends downs and gives Wyatt a kiss on the top of his head.

Phoebe grabs Piper’s hand. “ Honey, try not to worry. You’re getting those little lines around your eyes.

“Funny Pheebs.”

“Wyatt, take care of your Mommy! I love you both, bye.”

“I’ll call you later.” Piper yelled as Phoebe went out the door.

Piper walks over to Wyatt. “Are you hungry my little man? I’ll get us some breakfast.”

Piper was walking over to the kitchen cabinets to start getting breakfast. When orbs appeared in front of her. She was shock to see who was standing in front of her.

Piper could not believe who was standing in front of her. “Sam, What are you doing here?”

“I’m here to talk to Paige. Is she here?”

All the worry from the last week and half hit her all at once. Piper finally broke down and started to cry. Sam pulls her into a hug. He could not believe at that very moment. How much she looked liked Patty. He was standing holding her wondering if something happen to Paige.

“Piper, did something happen to Paige?”

“Paige left the Manor. She’s refusing to talk to me.

“Why?”

“I can’t say.”

Sam takes her over to the table and sits her down at the table. “ Why can’t you say? Because you don’t know or it’s a secret between you two.”

Piper looked at Sam like he gave her the missing piece of the puzzle, A SECRET. “Could she know about her and Chris? If so how and If she knows, does Leo know? Is that the reason Sam’s here. Is Sam going to talk Paige about her affair with Chris?” All these questions flooded Piper mind. “What do you have to talk to Paige about?”

Sam looks wryly. “Just normal father and daughter things. Why?”

Piper wipes her eyes with the back of her hand. “No reason.” She sighs in relieve.

“Piper, Why did Paige leave the Manor? She knows you are stronger together. So it would have to be pretty big for her to leave without a word or reason.”

“She just left.” Piper said with a slight change in tone.

“So you’re telling me. She just left and you have no idea why. That doesn’t sound like Paige.” He said with a tone of suspicion.

All of a sudden, Piper had a feeling to confess all her indiscretions of the past two months to Paige’s father, her mother’s whitelighter. “Sam I... I feel that I’m

Sam looks upward and Piper pauses knowing what that reaction means.

“Piper I’m sorry I have to go. I’ll try to come back as soon as possible. Can you please try to talk to Paige and find out what’s wrong.” Sam orbs out.

Piper was left wondering if Leo and the other Elders know and are Chris ok. Why did they call him away and does it have anything to do with her and Paige? “I hope Phoebe can talk to her.” She says out loud.

It was an average size office. Bookshelf line three of the walls and a desk sit right across from the door. In front of the desk was a large, sink-in, leather chair. Sean was standing at one of bookcase next to the door.

In the middle of the room, Ian orbs in making Sean jump. Sean closes his door. “What the hell are you doing? Someone could have walk by.”

“I could ask you the same thing. You know you’re a hard man to track down.”

“ I don’t know what you talking about.”

“Sean, It’s me you’re talking too.”

Sean glares at Ian, an old friend, and pulls a book off and heads to sit behind his desk. Sean waves to Ian to take a seat.

Sean answered Ian like he could read his mind. “Ian I know what I’m doing.”

“Really you know she’s a witch than?”

“Why are you asking me questions to answers you all ready know?”

“Because I just want you to here it out loud. So it can sink into that stubborn Irish head of yours. You know you were sent here to do a job.”

“And I’m doing it.”

“Sean they want a status report on what you’ve found out about the missing Elder”

“Tell the Ancients I’m getting closer.”

Ian looks at Sean with a slight glint in his eye. “ Getting closer to the witch or founding out what happen to the Elder. You know she’s a Charmed One.”

Sean said in a firm tone. “Will you stop calling her a witch her name is Paige and Yes I know she’s a Charmed One.”

“Sean, You know that the Ancients don’t want the Charmed Ones to know about the missing Elder. It could get dangerous for them and they don’t want them hurt.”

“I know that.”

“The Ancient also doesn’t want the Elders to know they got you involved they would take it personally. They think they can handle their own affairs.”

“Ian I can handle it.” Sean says looking away.

The two men sit in silence until Ian decides to break it. “Sean, what aren’t you telling me?”

“Nothing”

“You know you’re using...”

Sean cuts him off with anger in his voice. “I’m not using her. She came to me. She presented an opportunity so I took it.”

“So sleeping with her is that part of the deal or is falling in love with her.”

Sean sits in silence as he tries to tame his anger before he speaks again. Ian could tell that he hit a nerve. But that was his intention. He wanted to make Sean think of what he was doing.

“How did you know I’m in love with her?”

A smile comes across Ian’s lips as he tries not to laugh. “My friend, I’ve known you along time and you’ve defended her twice. I’m glad you are opening your heart again but are you forgetting the risks. I’m concern for both of you. She seems to be good for you. So don’t get mad; nevertheless, I feel you should cut your loss before they find out.”

“Ian I can’t do that; besides, I have a theory I have to follow it through.”

“Sean, not Chris again the Elders cleared him.”

“I haven’t cleared him. The Elder’s see what could be and what is perceive to be. He’s from the future that has changed thanks to him. They can’t always see everything. I, on the other hand, see the truth and seek justice. I don’t care he came back to save us from the Titans. All I have to do is be with him for a short amount of time to know if he’s told the truth about the missing Elder.”

“And what about Paige, when it’s all over and you may have to move on?”

“I don’t know.”

“What if she finds out about you using her?”

Sean drops his head in guilt. “ I hope I can tell her the truth after this is all over and I helped her find her brother-in-law.

“Sean, have you forgotten about the big rule and with you thinking about breaking this rule, you and Paige could receive quick and severe punishment. No questions asked.

Before Sean could reply Ian orbs out. Sean just sits in silence. He’ll figure it out later; right now he has to find Leo. Paige and his heart getting broke; well that was a risk he has to take. Sean then wondered if the missing Elder was still alive.

It was very bright as the sun beat down on the man in golden robes. He was walking in an endless desert wasteland. The man was yelling as he was walking. “Piper! Piper! Piper! Oh please hear me. Don’t trust him I should have listened to you.”

Paige arrived at work a little before eight in the morning. She had so much on her mind. She didn’t need to be ambushed by her older sister this morning. She walks into her offices and is glad to see the only person to meet her; was her assistant, Carly. Carly was around twenty-one with shoulder length blond hair. She had a bubbling personality. Paige knew, she was majoring in Sociology. She thought if only she could bottle that energy. She wouldn’t need that large coffee this morning.

“Good Morning. Paige”

“Good Morning. Carly any messages this morning.”

“Yea. A message from Lieutenant Morris, another from Inspector Hicks, and two messages from your sister, Phoebe. She said that she’ll be here around 12:30 and she’ll bring lunch.”

Paige sighs and takes the messages from her assistant. “Thanks.”

“Oh Paige.”

“ Huh.”

“Lieutenant Morris would like you to contact him as soon as possible.”

“Ok thanks.” As she closes her door to her private office. She looks at the messages from Phoebe. “Three and half-hours and the Spanish Inquisition begin” Paige thought.

It was getting close to 12:30 and anxiety has started to set in. At least her morning kept her busy so she didn’t have to worry about the descending hour. She found out they’re a number of unusually rapes going on and all the victims have been students. The three last nights, two occurred on campus and one was off campus. Morris told her that the rooms where all lock and the assailant got in with no apparent force. Paige decided she would tell Phoebe. It could put off her interrogation of why Phoebe was really coming to visit.

There’s a knock on her office door. She looks up and the door opens and Carly poked her head in. “Paige, your sister’s here.”

“Show her in, Carly.”

Carly open the door all the way to allow Phoebe to come on in.

“Carly, you can go to lunch. I can hold down the fort.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yea You go ahead.” Paige wanted Carly to leave just in case they got a little loud.

Carly closed the door. For a second, the two sisters just stared each other, which seemed like hours.

“Nice office you got here, Paige.”

“Yea I like it.”

“I brought a couple of salads and bottles of water. I hope that was ok.”

“That’s fine, Please take a seat.”

Paige thought how strange it was to have this tension between them. It was like they were meeting for the first time. But for the next half-hour or so, Paige told Phoebe about the rapes and why Darryl thinks it’s our kind of problem. They were finishing up their lunches. Paige knew it was time for all the questioning to begin. She’s been avoiding these topics for a week and a half. Just as Phoebe open her mouth to start the questioning her baby sister, there was a knock on the door.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The door opens wide and standing there is Sean. “Hey are you ready?” Sean paused as he saw that someone else was there. “I guess not.”

Paige jumps up and went over to Sean. “Um...Sean this is my sister, Phoebe.”

Sean put his hand out and Phoebe took it. “ It’s very nice to finally meet you. Paige told me all about you and I really enjoy your column.”

“Really she’s told me nothing about you” retorted Phoebe.

On that note Paige grabs Sean’s arm and pulls him out of her office. “Excuse us for a minute, Pheebs.”

Paige leads Sean out of earshot of Phoebe.

Paige entangles her fingers with his. “I’m sorry. I didn’t call you.”

“That’s ok.”

Phoebe was watching her little sister and her friend. “No he’s more than a friend” she thought. Phoebe notices he was around 6’2” and he had an athletic build. He had short dark brown hair. He had dark blue eyes. The color of blue you would see in the sky on a hot summer day. He had a strong jaw line. He was so hot. She was trying to figure out his accent. When her cell phone rang and it pull her attention away from the man, who seems to have caught her, little sisters eye.

“Hello.” Phoebe said has she flipped the phone open.

“Phoebe how did the lunch go with Paige?” Piper said on the other end of the phone.

“I don’t know yet.”

“What does that mean?”

“Will I’m watching her with her new man” explained Phoebe.

Piper yelling almost into the phone, “NEW MAN! What new man? How long have they been going out? What does he do for a living?”

“Piper, Piper, PIPER!” Phoebe said that last one loud to get her attention. But Paige and her new man were involved with their conversation and they didn’t hear her.

“What?”

I don’t know anything about him. He just got here and Paige took him out of her office to talk to him” clarified Phoebe.

Paige still having her fingers intertwined with his. “I have something to ask you.”

“What.” inquired Sean

“A guy showed up at the loft. He said he was a friend of yours.”

Sean narrowed his gaze and he wondered if he would play dumb or tell her the truth. He decides to opt for the truth. “Did this guy have sandy blond hair and green eyes and was very irritating?”

“Yes.”

Sean smiled, “That’s Ian he caught me out my office. Ian told me he stops by. He thought you were pretty.”

“Sean that’s not funny he walked right in. I could have been naked or something.”

“Were you” asked Sean grinning mischievously?

“No! That’s not the point how did he get in.”

Sean’s grin getting larger. “He used the hidden key. That’s how he got in. I have never had a woman stay with me, so he just lets himself in. I’ll have a talk with him.”

Phoebe was still watching Sean and Paige in their intense conversation. When Piper came over the phone with her brilliant idea. “Phoebe asks them to dinner here.”

Phoebe stopped paying attention to Paige. “What? Piper have you lost your mind?”

Piper a little irritated. “No! It’s perfect. If you invite them both then she would have a friend to support her.”

“Piper” Phoebe said with a condescending tone.

“Phoebe, just here me out. She won’t feel like we’re gaining up on her with him here. Phoebe asks them for me?”

“Ok I’ll ask but don’t get your hopes up.” Phoebe said apprehensively.

Phoebe pulls the phone away from her mouth. “Paige, Piper’s on the phone and she wants me to invite you and your friend to dinner at the Manor.”

Paige stares at her sister in complete shock. As thoughts, like ‘have you lost your mind and you’ve got to be kidding.’ But before she could answer not just no but hell no. She heard Sean excepting the invitation.

Sean gestured to one minute by holding up his finger. “Paige I’ve lost my family and I will never see them again. Your family wants to see you and I can’t let you ignore them just because you’re upset with them.”

Paige just stared at this man she was falling in love with. She closed her eyes and nodded yes.

Sean asked Phoebe what time do we need to be there. In a few seconds, they knew that dinner was to start at seven o’clock. Paige thought “and let the witch trial begin.”

Phoebe hugs Paige. “Honey, I better go. I have to get back to my deadline. It was very nice to me you and I’ll see you both tonight.” Phoebe left the office.

When Phoebe was gone Paige turned on Sean. “Sean, What the hell do you think your doing?”

“I thought I was trying to help push you in the right direction.”

“Sean lets get something straight. I don’t need help when it comes to my family got it.” Paige said angrily and walks to her office and slammed the door.”

Sean felt sorry for forcing the dinner but he had to get in the same room as Chris. Now he hopes that he will be there. He knows Paige is mad at him. But he’ll just make it up to her later then a chill went up his back as he thought about what Ian said to him. Sean you are using her.

Paige walks into her office fuming. “Who does this guy think he is?” She was shuffling around folders on her desk. When the note, from him this morning, fell on the floor. She picks it up and reads it again. The anger started to fade away. “He’s the man who loves me and I’m in love with him.

Piper knew that they’d be here any minute. Chris had orb in about an hour ago.

“Chris you can’t be here” said Piper warily.

“I’m going to meet this guy. You know she’s been staying with him” retorted Chris

“We don’t know that, besides, It’s not your concern.”

“Oh come on Piper, you check with all her friends and she was not staying with them. And it is my concern I’m your whitelighter.”

“She doesn’t like you, Chris” said Piper irritated.

“Piper she’ll just have to get over it. I’m your whitelighter.” Just then they heard voice from the foyer.

Phoebe arrived home. The same time Sean and Paige pulled up in front of the Manor.

Sean took Paige’s hand and squeezed it for support. “Are you ready?”

‘If I said no could we leave.”

“Paige” Sean said in disbelief.

“I guess we better go in. Phoebe is standing there waiting.” Sean lets go of Paige’s hand and leans over and kisses her. They get out of the car and meets Phoebe at the front stairs.

“Hi, ready to go in and eat.” Phoebe said with a smile.

Paige smiles back wryly. “Sure.”

They walk into the Manor. Phoebe and Paige put their purses on the table by the door. Sean started to look around the house from the foyer.

“It’s a very nice Manor.” Sean said with admiration.

Phoebe smiled. “Thanks its kinda falling apart right now.”

Sean ran his hand along the doorframe. “It’s not the Manor. It’s the manor in which it was treated.”

Phoebe got a strange look across her face. Sean looks at Phoebe. “Did I say something wrong?”

Phoebe shook her head. “No.”

Piper and Chris walk into the foyer without anyone noticing in the middle of the conversation between Sean and Phoebe.

“What did you just say?” Piper said with a surprising tone.

Everyone in the room turns to see Piper and Chris standing there. Paige grimaces at seeing Chris there as well.

Sean looks back at Paige then stuck his hand out to Piper. “Hello. I’m Sean O’Hara.” Piper just stared at him and took his hand.

Phoebe stepped forward. “This is my big sister Piper.”

“It’s nice to meet you. Do I have something in my teeth? Sean said with a half-hearted laugh.

Piper said dryly. “Why did you say that?”

“Say What?”

“It’s not the Manor. It’s the manor in which it was treated.”

“Oh...um.. Its something my Grandda would say about an old houses. Why?”

Piper shook her head. “No reason. Someone I use to know use to say that about the Manor.”

“If I did something to get you upset. I’m terrible sorry.” Sean said with concern.

“No you didn’t upset me. I was just surprised that’s all. I hope your starving.”

“I am” Sean said with a small smile.

Piper turned to head back to the kitchen. Sean realized he was still holding on to the wine. “Piper I brought some wine as a thank you.” Piper turns back and took it. “This is a very nice wine.”

“Yea that’s what the man at the wine store said.”

“So I take it you don’t know anything about wine.” Piper said with a grin.

“No I’m a Guinness, beer, and Irish whiskey man myself.” Sean said with a flash in his eye.

“Thanks.” Piper said with gratitude.

During the conversation, that Sean and Piper were having, Paige came up and took Sean’s hand. Piper starts to head back to the kitchen. She caught Paige’s glare that’s when she knew that Paige knew her secret. Piper knew that she would have to get Paige alone, so she could talk to her tonight. Even if she’d have to recruit the help of this stranger, then that’s what she’ll do.

Standing in the background while the drama plays out was Chris. He was trying to size up this man. Who had unearthed the Charmed Ones. Paige was obviously in love with him. Phoebe, after meeting for a short time, seems to like him. Piper even seems impressed by him. Sean caught sight of Chris.

This is the time Sean’s been waiting for and in a few seconds; he’ll know everything he needs to know. Either Sean will clear Chris as his number one suspect or he will have the mastermind behind the crime. Chris stuck his hand out and came forward towards Sean. Chris’s hand was getting closer and closer. Sean released Paige’s hand to take Chris’s. “Just a little closer and I’ll know” Sean thought. That’s it just take my hand and reveal every secret you have. It was like everything was moving in slow motion. Finally, Chris and Sean shook hands and Sean look into his eyes. At that very moment, Sean got everything he needs to know.

The room was dusty and dark. It was only lit by candlelight. There was a woman, who looked to be in her early fifties, a sleep on a sofa. There was a young man around twenty standing by a large book on a stand. Another man around the same age was over looking at items on a group of shelves.

“Wyatt how long does your family keep this stuff?” Chris said with a smile on his face.

“Shhh.” My mom finally is getting some sleep. I should have been there to save Aunt Phoebe from the Titans.

“Wyatt, you were where you was supposed to be. You can’t question your actions. Why are we in your old attic anyway?”

“I have a plan and if it works none of this would've happen and you are going to be a big part of it.”

Chris stared at Wyatt with a confused look. “How am I a big part of your plan?”

“Well Chris I’m glad you asked. I’m going to send you back to the past.”

Chris puts his hand up. “Whoa, wait, back to the past? Wyatt I’m your friend and I’d do anything for you. I mean you’ve been in charge of this war against the Titans, along with your mom and aunt. But I don’t see how going back in time will help?”

“Chris, If you shut your mouth for a minute you’ll find out. Chris put his hand up as a sign of retreat and takes a seat. Wyatt takes a seat as well and looks over to his sleeping mother and in a voice just above a whisper. “Remember; when you told me if the Elders would have use the power of the Greek gods. We would probable not be having this problem.”

“Wyatt I was drunk and I was talking too much. The Elders would never have given any mortal the power again.”

Wyatt interrupts him. Yea I know the Elder wouldn’t. Well the Elders are dead. Because they where to blind. I’m not and I’m tired of this war. Getting back to my plan, the powers of the Greek gods will be used again. But in stead of giving them to mortals, The powers are going to be given to the Charmed Ones.

“Wyatt it sounds like a great plan. But have you forgotten the Elders will never release that power again.

Wyatt said with such anger. “The Elder’s are dead, along with my father.” He calms himself a little. “ But my plan will save him, most of the Elders, Aunt Paige, and everyone else including your family. So are you going to sit there and stop interrupting.”

Chris nods his head yes. “ Shoot I‘m listening.”

“Ok, I’m going to send you back right before the Titans killed my Aunt Paige. Because she is important to the plan, they all are, including you.” Wyatt walks over to a table and picks up a potion vial. “This will keep the Titan off balance. They are more powerful then the potion used to vanquish the Source. But the potion still won’t kill the Titan. But it will cause her to retreat. Aunt Paige will be turned into stone. But I know my Aunt Phoebe and Mom, they’ll figure out a way to turn her back. Then you will only tell them enough to figure out things a little to late. You have to convince my dad to give the Greek powers to the Charmed Ones. I know my mom, Aunt Phoebe and the stories they told me about Aunt Paige that she could handle it too.

“Wyatt only an Elder can give the Greek power.”

“I know but my mom said that Dad had a good and pure heart. If he takes charge, more than likely, he would become an Elder. I can handle that, because he would still be around. Chris you can’t let anyone know who sent you back and more than likely you won’t be sent back to the future. They can’t risk it.”

“So let’s get this straight. I’m going to be stuck twenty years in the past. I have a question. Why don’t you go and leave me here.”

“Because if the plan fails. I won’t be able to get back. I need to be here for my mother and the war; besides, I’m the only one who can handle the demons. If I were not here they would betrays us.

“That’s right the great Wyatt Halliwell.” Chris said with a hint of sarcasm

“What did you say?”

Chris frowning, “ I guess your right.”

Wyatt gets up and goes over and puts his hand on Chris’s shoulder. Chris looks up at him. “No one can know who sent you. Do whatever it takes to keep this secret. Do you understand? You’re my friend and my right hand. I can only trust you with this.”

A small grin comes over his lips. “Yea, keep the secret.”

Sean then seen how Chris manipulated the situation to make everything turned out the way Wyatt wanted it too. Then Sean seen how Chris sent Leo someplace as he was orbing out. Sean knew that if Wyatt were here he would not approve of this. Sean then saw what Chris did to Piper and a wave of hatred and anger came over him.

Sean and Chris were still shaking hands. Chris raised one of his eyebrows. “Can I have my hand back?”

“Oh I’m sorry.”

Paige saw a tick in Sean’s jaw. She could tell that he was irritated but she didn’t know why. Sean was fine before he shook Chris’s hand.

Sean was trying to work out what to do. What he’d like to do at that very moment was to give him a taste of his family’s power. Sean knew he couldn’t do anything that would reveal himself. He reminded himself that he’s not here to inflict punishment. He would have to leave that up to the Ancients and Elders. He was never the type of person that could set by and do nothing. Then he looked back at Paige and thought how when all this goes down, she’s going get hurt. Hell they’re all going to get hurt. No one was going to walk away unscathed. That was just killing him. He never wanted to hurt her. He loves her.

“Hey can someone help me bring out the food.” Piper yelled from the kitchen. Piper yelling from the kitchen brought Sean out of his thoughts.

“I’m coming.” Phoebe replied.

Chris and Phoebe headed towards the kitchen. Sean started to follow but Paige grabs his arm. “Sean are you ok?”

“Yes I’m fine” Sean answered wryly.

“Your mood change after shaking Chris’s hand. Why?”

It was funny, but at that very moment looking in her eyes, he wanted to tell Paige everything. Who he was. Who Chris is. Who sent Chris back in time. What he did with Leo and the real truth about Piper and Chris’s relationship.

Sean frowned. “I just realized. I meet the person who has caused you so much pain.” He chose to say instead.

Piper appeared in the dining room. “Are you two going to come eat?” Piper asked her little sister and boyfriend.

“Yes” Paige and Sean replied in unison. Then a wicked grin crossed his lips. “I may not have the pleasure to punish him. But I’m going to make him as comfortable as hell tonight thou.” Sean said under his breath.

“What did you say?” Paige asked him

“Nothing.” Sean grabs Paige’s elbow and leads her to the dining room. He still has his wicked grin painted on his face.

Dinner was uneventful and peaceful. Sean was disappointed that Chris had to leave early. He so wanted to put him in the hot seat and make him squirm. Paige explains to her sisters in more detail about what she does in her job. How she gives advice to victims of violent crimes and works with the campus police and SFPD.

They discuss things from the weather, Phoebe’s column to P3. The evening was past with small talk then the conversation turns to Sean. Piper and Phoebe wanted to know everything about him. Sean told them that he earn his doctorate for English from Notre Dame. It is also where he received an undergrad. He told them he had a master’s degree in Philosophy. Sean informed them he spent his summers in Chicago. Phoebe wanted to know if he had any brother or sister. Sean informed Piper and Phoebe that he had five siblings, two brothers and three sisters and that his family was now dead. Phoebe started to ask how but was cut off by Paige. “He doesn’t like to talk about it. So please don’t ask.” Phoebe nodded in agreement and Sean squeezed Paige’s hand as saying thank you.

Piper wanted to know how they met. So Sean told the boring story of how they met. Piper wanted to know if Paige was staying with him. Where Sean replied a simple “Yes.” Piper and Phoebe just looked at them. “You already knew that’s where I was staying” Paige said irritated.

“Why don’t we clean the table off and have coffee and dessert in the conservatory.” Phoebe asked to cut of the argument off.

They gathered up the dishes. When Paige and Sean was carrying in the last of the dishes.

“I can’t believe this sink” Piper said angrily.

“What’s wrong?” Paige asked.

“This stupid sink is clod again.”

“Can I have a look at it?” Sean asked.

“Sean is good with his hands.” Paige said with a smile.

Sean smiled back. “I am a true laborer, I earn that I eat, get that I wear, owe no man’s hate, envy no man’s happiness.” Sean then caught the strange looks on Piper and Phoebe’s faces. “It’s Shakespeare.”

“Yea I know”, Piper said with a shaky voice.

“Did I say something wrong?”

“No it’s just.....” Piper chose not to finish her sentence.

Sean looked at both Piper and Phoebe. “Umm.... I would need some tools and a bucket to fix the sink.”

“A bucket.” Piper asked with a questioning look.

“Aye for the water. Unless you want it on the floor.”

“The tools are in the basement. Phoebe and I will go get them.” Piper said as she grabbed Phoebe’s arm to drag her to the basement.

“Oh, Ok” Phoebe said as she was dragged away.

As Piper and Phoebe disappeared Sean looked at Paige. “Did I do something wrong?”

“Nothing I know of, but who knows with those two.” Paige said while kissing him.

Phoebe and Piper were down in the basement. “Piper are you going to tell me, why you dragged me down here?”

“Yea I need your help.”

“Help with what?” Phoebe asks with suspicion.

“Getting the tools and the bucket.”

“Piper” Phoebe said aggravated. “I’m your sister that’s not why you dragged me down here. So why don’t you just tell me the truth?”

“I think he’s a whitelighter.” Piper said in a low voice.

“What? You’re crazy.” Phoebe said as she picked up a bucket.

“Hear me out, Phoebe.”

“I’m listening.”

“What he said about the manor. Leo said the same thing.”

“Piper, he explained that. It was something his grandfather use to say.”

“He’s reply, such a whitelighter response. Then what he just said up there.” Piper gestured up.

“What?” Phoebe said with a hint of amusement.

“I earn that I eat blah, blah, and blah. That’s what I talking about.” Piper said putting her hands on her hips.

Phoebe puts the bucket down. She walks over to Piper and puts her hands on Piper’s. “Honey do you really think he’s a whitelighter or are you missing Leo? Because I have to tell you, don’t you think Chris would have recognized him?” Phoebe then hugs her sister.

“I guess but all the things he’s saying. It really making me remembers Leo and there’s something else.”

“It’s just a coincidence” replies Phoebe mockingly.

“We don’t have coincidences” retorted Piper.

Phoebe picks up the tool box and hands it to Piper. Then she picks up the bucket. “But if it makes you feel better, I’ll go on the Internet and check out his story.”

They start to head upstairs and Phoebe puts her around her sister.

Sean was just finishing the sink and the whole time he was working on the sink, there was a deafening silence in the room. Paige and Piper said nothing to each other or to Sean. Phoebe had left the room with the excuse that she had to work on her column.

Sean thought he had to further long Piper’s progress of unlocking the memory that Chris blocked. Sean knew that her memory was starting to come back and helping her remember Leo would do it. He also knew he had to get Paige and Piper talking to patch up their relationship and this would help to bring back Piper’s memory.

Just then Wyatt made a noise from his high chair and as Sean came out from under the sink. He had an idea on how to solve both problems.

“The sink should be unclogged now.” Sean said as he stood up.

“Thanks” said Piper.

“Why don’t I take Wyatt so you two can catch up?” Paige glared at Sean as he kisses her on the cheek and walks over to Wyatt.

“No that’s ok” said Paige.

“No No You have a lot to talk about.” Sean said picking up Wyatt. “Hey little man do you want to play aero plane or popcorn machine.”

“You know the popcorn machine,” said Piper slowly. A thought or memory was coming to her mind.

Piper was feeling like she was coming out of a dream. She was starting to remember things that she knew were real. Piper felt as though she has been in a daze for the last month or so. An anger started to rise in her. She was beginning to remember that Leo and Chris did something to her but what it was, she wasn’t sure. She watches as Sean carried Wyatt out of the room. Piper felt it had to do with her son. No it had to do exactly with her son. She also knew that Chris didn’t want her to know. Piper knew her feelings for Chris was a farce.

“Piper, Piper, Piper.” said Paige in a loud tone.

“What?”

“I said are you ok?” said Paige concern.

“Yea, I’m not sure.” said Piper confusedly.

“What do you mean?” asked Paige.

“I’m not sure but I think Chris did...

Sean was carrying Wyatt into the conservatory. He closed his eyes and smiled. “Your Aunt Phoebe is looking up things about me on her computer,” said Sean with laughter in his voice. Wyatt smiled back.

“Ian, Ian, Ian,” said Sean in just above a whisper. Just as he was beginning to call again, orbs appeared in front of him. Standing in front of him was his friend, Ian. Wyatt put out his arms to go to Ian and Ian took him.

“Hello,” said Ian looking at Wyatt. He looked around and then looked at Sean. “You’ve got to be kidding. Do you know where you are?”

“Aye, the Halliwell’s Manor. But that’s not important.” Ian raised his eyebrows in disbelief in what Sean just said.

“Listen we don’t have much time. One of the sisters could walk in on us.” Ian nodded in agreement.

“Chris is the one.”

“Are you sure?” said Ian with a hint of astonishment.

“Yes I know what I saw. He sent him through a vortex. Leo was heading back up there,” said Sean pointing up. “Chris also hit Piper with.” But Sean stops abruptly.

“What?” asked Ian.

“Shhh, Phoebe’s coming. You’ve got to go and tell the Ancients about Chris. Give me Wyatt,” said Sean in a hurry.

Ian handed Wyatt to Sean and orb out. Just in time, Phoebe walks in to the conservatory seconds later.

Phoebe stood there looking at Sean holding Wyatt. Sean looked back and gave a small smile.

“Where’s Piper and Paige? asked Phoebe.

“They’re in the kitchen talking and straightening up things,” said Sean

“Straightening what up? questioned Phoebe.

“Not for sure, sister stuff, I guess,” said Sean. He started to spin Wyatt and make airplane noises.

“Why do I think you know more then what you lead on?” said Phoebe dryly.

“I just might but it’s not for my place to say, now is it,” said Sean confidently.

“I think you should tell me what Paige told you,” said Phoebe.

Sean rising his eyebrows at Phoebe and his grin disappeared from his lips. “What your sister told me or didn’t tell me is not for me to say. If she wants you and Piper to know then I’m sure she’ll tell you; otherwise, you won’t get anything from me. What she told me in confidence will stay there. I care very much about your sister and I will do nothing more then what I’ve all ready done to lose her trust.”

“What’s that supposed to mean? What you’ve done” asked Phoebe.

Sean did not answer her. He just simply just looked at her and sits down with Wyatt. Phoebe stood there for a minute. She gave up waiting for an answer and left to find her sisters.

Paige was staring at Piper in disbelief in what she just heard from her sister. “Ok, let me get this straight, Chris hit you with memory dust. Chris did this so you would forget about Wyatt putting up his force field up every time Chris came around him.

“Yes,” said Piper.

“Ok, so you just fell on his lips then,” asked Paige

“No,” yelled Piper. “I did not fall on his lips. After he hip me with memory dust. He told me were attack by a demon and about three weeks of my memory was erased.”

“So what does this have to do with you making out with him,” said Paige angrily?

“If you just listen I’ll tell you again. After he hit me with the dust. He told me that we were having an affair and you and Phoebe didn’t know,” explained Piper.

“You believed him. You would just forget about Leo and move on with of all people, Chris. Didn’t that seem a little outrageous,” ask Paige.

“No,” said Piper irritated. Paige just glared at her trying to believe her or not.

“Look, you have never been hit with memory dust, Phoebe and I have. It can make you think a lot of things. The thing with Chris, I feel it has more to do with Leo then Chris. Leo took my pain away so I never felt the lost of losing him. Chris manipulation would not have worked, if Leo didn’t do what he did,” explained Piper.

“So it’s Leo’s fault not Chris’s,” asked Paige.

“No, it’s Chris’s fault. He took advantage of me. Chris took my free will away and I plan to make him pay for that,” said Piper angrily.

Phoebe came into the kitchen and caught the looks Piper and Paige was giving each other.

“What’s going on,” asked Phoebe?

Piper started to explain to Phoebe what she told Paige. After around ten minutes or so, Phoebe just stared at her sister.

“He....did...what,” asked Phoebe slowly with a shake of anger in her voice. “I’ll vanquish him.”

“Get in line,” said Piper.

“So what are we going to do,” asked Paige?

“I can think of a few things,” said Phoebe.

“You have to tell Sean to leave,” said Piper looking at Paige.

“Ok, I’ll go tell Sean that I’m going to stay here tonight,” said Paige.

Sean stepped off the porch of the Halliwell’s Manor. He’s wearing a grin of triumph. He took a couple of steps and turn around to face the Manor. The smile he was wearing faded from his lips. Sean realized that the woman he never knew he wanted; would hate him for what was about to happen. “Maybe it’s for the best,” Sean said to himself. “Who am I kidding. I can’t live my life without her,” thought Sean. “Ian, Ian, Ian,” called Sean.

Orbs appear next to Sean. “I told the Ancients,” said Ian before Sean could ask him. “I have to take him to the Ancients so they can make him bring the Elder back,” explained Ian.

“We have a problem then,” said Sean. “What did you do,” asked Ian? Ian look at Sean in great concern of what Sean could have done.

Sean wears a smirk. “Piper remembers what he did and what is that saying, yes, Paybacks are hell.”

“Sean” said Ian angrily. “I’ve got to go and stop them. If they do anything to him we may lose the chance to get the Elder back.”

Sean grabbed Ian’s arm. “I forgot about Leo. I was just thinking that Piper getting her memory back would make Chris pay for causing them pain. I’m coming with you.”

“No you’re not. You’re not even supposed to know them. It was your job to find the missing Elder not bring Piper’s memory back,” said Ian firmly.

“Ian, I just not going to stand by and do nothing. Especially when it was my fault” said Sean.

“That’s exactly what you’re going to do,” said Ian in a tone Sean has never heard from him. “Go Home Sean!” Ian orbed out. “Like hell I’m going to stand by and watch,” said Sean as he turns invisible and then flashes out.

Piper, Phoebe, and Paige were standing in the living room. “Are we ready” asked Paige? “Oh Yeah,” said Phoebe. “Well here we go,” said Piper. “Chris, Chris, Chris. Get your butt down here now.”

Orbs appeared in front of them and Chris was standing there with a confused look. “What so urgent,” asked Chris?

“Oh I don’t know maybe the fact you’ve been screwing with us since you got here,” yelled Piper with such fury. This made Chris take a couple steps back. “I don’t understand,” said Chris.

“Maybe you’ll understand this,” said Piper raising her hands and blowing Chris up in thousand little orbs.

Chris orbed back together. “Why the hell did you do that for,” asked Chris as fear appeared in his eyes? “I don’t know maybe because you hit me with memory dust. and made me think we were having an affair. Why doesn’t my son like you?” asked Piper as her face was getting more and more red with rage.

Chris decided it would be best if he got out of there but just as he started to orb out, another set of orbs appeared next to him. When the orbs final took form, it was Ian standing next him. Ian grabbed Chris’s arm. “You’re not going anywhere. There are a few people who have questions for you,” said Ian with a slight laugh.

When Paige saw who was standing next to Chris her mouth dropped open in shock. Paige then felt someone watching from behind her. She turns her head around but there was nothing there. Paige’s attention was pulled back to the two whitelighters.

“Who are you” asked Chris in flabbergasted. “I’m the man sent to get answers on what you’ve done with Leo and by force if necessary,” said Ian with satisfaction.

Everyone was looking at Chris. “I don’t know,” but before Chris could finish Ian cut him off. “Don’t give me that B.S. I know everything you’ve done” Ian said with impatience.

The Charmed Ones was standing in shock as the conversation between the whitelighters went back and forth.

“What plain of existence did you send him and can you bring him back,” asked Ian more forceful then before.

“Excuse me but who is he” asked Phoebe? “Oh you don’t know” said Ian. They looked at Ian for an answer to their questions. The person I am referring to is the missing Elder, Leo. “What” yelled Piper? Ian just held up his hand to cut Piper off.

“I still don’t know what you’re talking about” said Chris.

“Well if you won’t tell me. I’m sure the Charmed Ones can get it out of you, one way or another” Ian said sarcastically. “Oh, by the way, the Elders removed your powers. Good bye.” Ian began to orb out. Chris looked at the sisters “Wait I’ll tell you” Chris said with fear in voice.

Sean was invisible and watching behind the Charmed Ones. This made swell with joy. He was going to enjoy watching Chris squirm.

“I can’t bring him back” said Chris fearful.

“What” yelled Piper as she advanced on Chris?

Chris moved to get behind Ian. “Wait, Wait, You and your sisters can bring him back with the lost love spell. All you have to do is rewrite it” said Chris.

Piper looked at Paige. “Go get the Book,” ordered Piper. Piper was now shaking with anger. Chris remands standing behind Ian for protection.

After a short amount of time, Paige came back into the living room with the Book. Piper was pacing the room impatience. Chris still remands behind Ian. Phoebe had taken a seat on the sofa and invisible Sean was leaning against the wall. He was observing the drama play out.

“Here’s the spell” said Paige laying the book down, open to the page where the spell resides.

“Ok, Chris, what do you mean we have to rewrite the spell” demanded Piper a little calmer then before.

“You need to bring him to you instead of you going to him” explained Chris.

Phoebe pulled the book closer. She grabbed a pen and paper and started to scribble on the pad.

After a few minutes Phoebe looked up. “I’ve got it” said Phoebe exuberantly. Phoebe stood up and went to join her sisters standing over by Ian.

Piper, Phoebe and Paige started the spell:

“Whither our Love

Wherever you be

Through time and space

Bring Leo back to we three.”

The sun was shining very brightly on the desert sands. A lone figure was lying in the sand. All at once orbs appeared around the man and he was gone.

The Charmed Ones was standing in the living room waiting for something to happen for Leo to appear. After a few minutes, orbs appeared in the room and an unconscious Leo was lying on the floor. Piper looked at Chris with such hatred and she ran over to Leo.

“Leo, Leo, please wake up” said Piper as tears filled her eyes. She looked up at Ian. “Can’t you do something” asked Piper? Ian moved over to Leo and knelt down by him. Ian put his hand over Leo and a familiar gold glow illuminates from his hands. It was not to long and Leo starts to stir and his eyes opens. Ian stood up and walks back over to Chris. When Ian got back to where Chris was standing he grabbed his arm. Piper pulled Leo into a huge hug and tears started to stream down her face. Leo wrapped his arms around his wife. They just sit there, holding each other.

Final Piper and Leo break their embrace and Piper helps him up. Phoebe and Paige grabs their brother-in-law into a hug.

“We’ve missed you” said Phoebe.

“Yeah” replied Paige in agreement.

Leo then turns to face Ian and Chris. “Take him up there so he can explain himself” said Leo firmly. “I’ll be up there in just a second.”

Piper looked at Leo and her smile fades as fast as it appeared. “You’re going back up there so soon” asked Piper.

“I have too” replied Leo. “I don’t want too.

“You could stay longer then a second” said Phoebe.

“Piper needs you” said Paige.

“No that’s ok” said Piper, as the tears of joy becomes tears of sadness. Leo kissed Piper and orbed out. Phoebe and Paige walk over and pull their sister into a hug. “I’m ok” Piper said half-hearted.

Sean felt the pain of the sisters and he flashes out to give them privacy in their grief. Paige felt something vanishes in the room and looks to where Sean was standing and just flashed out. She didn’t see anything but she just knew.

Piper pulled away from her sisters. “Really I’m all right” said Piper and she headed up the stairs. Phoebe and Paige watched her go. “Should we do something” asked Paige? “No she needs to be a lone for awhile” said Phoebe.

Paige walks over and picks up her purse. She turns and heads for the door.

“Where are you going” asked Phoebe?

“There’s something I have to take care of” said Paige “I’ll try to be back soon” Paige said as she walk out the door.

It’s a dark room lit only by moonlight. There’s a bright flash and Sean materialized in the room.

“Well that’s a surprise. I thought it would be orbs” comes a voice out of the darkness. Sean jumped and turns to the voice. “Who’s there” asked Sean? Standing up and coming into the moonlight was Paige.

“Paige, what are you doing here” Sean asked stunned? He caught the anger in her eyes.

“ I was wondering who the hell you were. I figured you were a whitelighter like Ian but seeing how you showed up here, I guessed, I assume, wrong” Paige said harshly.

“Well you know what they say about assume” Sean said with a small laugh. He was trying to break the tension in the room. Paige narrowed her eyes and glared at him. “You’re right I’m not a whitelighter” said Sean.

“Then are you a witch” asked Paige.

“No I’m not a witch” answered Sean.

“I’m not going to play twenty questions, Sean, I want to know who the hell you are” demanded Paige?

Sean walks over and turn on the light. They were standing downstairs in the living room of Sean’s loft.

“Will you please sit down asked Sean? Paige just crossed her arms in protest.

“Look you can stand but it could take awhile for me to explain and you could get tired of standing” said Sean.

Paige made her way over to a chair sitting across from the sofa. She sits down crossing her legs. Now both her arms and legs were crossed. Sean made his way over to the sofa so he could sit across from her. As he set down he let out a small laugh. “I don’t see what’s so funny” Paige asked irritated.

“If you could get any more defensive, you wouldn’t hear what I had to say” said Sean looking at her still smiling. This made Paige flare even more with irritation. She started to get up. “No wait. I’m sorry” said Sean. Paige glared and settled back down in her original position. She looks at him waiting for his explanation. Sean could see and feel her curiosity, anger, and sadness. It was killing him.

“Where do I begin” muttered Sean not really wanting an answer? But Paige gave him one anyway. “Why not at the beginning” said Paige?

“Ok, You pretty much know everything about me” said Sean. “Really all except you have magic powers” Paige said sarcastically. “My powers aren’t who I am said Sean. Paige just stared at him.

“Paige, Do you really want to know everything” asked Sean gently? “Yes” replied Paige.

“Like I said you know who I am or I should say apart of who I am. My family was murdered like I said but by the Source and his assassins.

“Why would” but Sean raised his hand and cut her off. “The Source saw my family as a threat and we were. My family has been helping mankind for thousands of years. We’ve watched Sources come and go. We’ve help whenever we were needed. We protected the innocent, whether witches or mortal. We used out knowledge to teach and guide. Our power and knowledge are passed to the next member of the family.”

Sean stood up and started to pace. Paige watchex as he starts his story again. “When my family died they gave me two things, their knowledge and their power. We are born with some of my family’s power. In my case, the ability to hide my power from good or evil that’s why Ian can’t find me. The power of invisibility and the power to form emerald fire balls. “Emerald fireballs” asked Paige curiously. “I get to what those are later” said Sean. “Shall I go on?” Paige simple nods. “Like I was saying we were born with powers but we can also get powers if a member of the family dies. The power chooses who receives it and the individual also gets their knowledge. So when my family was murder, I received all my families power and knowledge. Some of the power I can control others I cannot. Paige was just staring at Sean as he continued. “But because I have the rare power of stealth, I survived” Sean explained as though he was telling a child’s bedtime story.

“You’ve not said What you are” whispered Paige. Sean looked at Paige with such love. “I’m a druid. Paige” answered Sean. Paige just gazed at Sean for a minute. “Why didn’t you tell me before now” asked Paige?

“This is the part you’re not going to like” said Sean. “Why” asked Paige? Sean stopped pacing and walked over and set down on the table in front of her. He wanted to look into her eyes when he broke their hearts.

“Well here it goes” Sean sighed. “I was sent here to find out what happen to the missing Elder.” said Sean.

“You were sent here to find Leo by whom, the Elders” asked Paige?

Sean shook his head, “Not the Elders.”

“Then by who” demanded Paige.

“By the Ancients” replied Sean.

“Who” said Paige?

“You know there’s a hierarchy up there” asked Sean? Paige just nodded yes. Sean took this as a sign to continue. “The Ancients are the Elders’ bosses and I answer to them.” Paige said nothing but just looked at Sean in disbelief in what she was hearing. So Sean continued, “I kind of look into things for them. I investigate, protect, teach, vanquish or whatever else they need. I go where I’m sent with no questions asked.

“So if you do all those things. Does this mean your died” asked Paige?

“No” said Sean shaking his head. “I’m very much alive. If I do end up died my family’s power dies with me and will be lost forever” Sean said sadly.

Paige sits there staring into Sean’s sad face. She was working everything out. So Sean went on, “I knew that Chris was the last one to see Leo before he disappeared. So he was my number one suspect.” “Chris was your suspect” interrupted Paige. Sean was afraid of what Paige would ask next.

Paige paused and then asked, “So you used me to get to Chris?” “I was not planning too” said Sean. “But when I ran into you at the coffee shop and you drop your wallet. I decided to use the opportunity” Sean said unhappily.

“So sleeping with me was that part of the plan” yelled Paige. “No sleeping with you was not part of the plan. I was hoping when I brought the wallet back you would invite me in.” Sean saying this only made things worse.

Paige stood up in anger. She started to leave and Sean grabbed her arm. “I fell in love with you, damn it. I wasn’t supposed too but I did” Sean said quickly.

Paige stops to look at him. Tears were filling in her eyes and one lone tear fell down her cheek. Sean caught it with his finger. Tears were starting to show in his eyes as well. He was so scared of losing her but he was just as scared if she should stay.

“What do you mean you weren’t supposed to fall in love with me” Paige asked as her voice broke.

Sean closed his eyes tight and sighed. He was trying to stop the tears from coming. “It is forbidden for a druid and witch to be together. If any druid or witch is caught breaking this rule, quick and severe punishment will be inflicted on them” told Sean. I know I should not have fallen in love. But I could not help it. It was like I have waited my whole life for you” explained Sean. I had decided that my destiny was to be alone then I ran into you and I begin to live; not just exist” Sean said affectionately.

Sean let go of Paige’s arm. Paige stood there soaking in everything Sean was saying; more tears fell down her face. She didn’t know what to do, leave or stay. At the moment, she was very confused. She hated him; on the other hand, she had never felt so much love for someone. She only has known him for a short amount of time but she loved him so much.

Sean took Paige’s hand in his. It made Paige jump and Sean tighten his hand slightly. “Paige, I know this is a lot to take and I know I’m asking a lot but can you...would you give me a second chance to yearn your trust again. I know there’s added risk and obstacles we would have to face. I also know that love; love is a leap of faith. And if you could find faith in me, I would love you with all my heart. Which I all ready do” Sean said as he looks at her with hope in his eyes.

Paige looked away. “Yes” Paige said with a whisper. “What” asked Sean? He wasn’t sure what she meant by saying yes. “Yes I’ll give you a second chance but we have a lot to talk about” Paige said warmly. “Yes” agreed Sean and Paige nodded. Sean pulled her into an embrace and kissed her.

Piper was watching Wyatt sleep. She was feeling the pain of losing her husband. She was lost in her thoughts of the past. Piper didn’t hear the orbs behind her. Leo materialized in the bedroom that he and Piper shared. He walks up behind Piper and snaked his arm around her waist. Piper jumped and turned around and standing there was the dream she was hoping would come true.

“Hi Piper” said Leo with a smile plastering his face.

“What, Why are you here” asked Piper?

“Because I live her” Leo said jokingly.

“But not since you became an Elder. You told me, you had to stay up there” Piper said shockingly.

“Well that was true before but not anymore” explicated Leo.

“You’re not an Elder anymore” asked Piper with a smile?

“I’m still an Elder but my bosses are letting me live down here. It seems that someone went to bats for me. He explained that I made a vow to you and staying up there is breaking that vow. He told them that a child as special, as Wyatt needs both his father and mother. The person also made it clear that the Charmed Ones earned the right to have their whitelighter back, whether he’s an Elder or not. My bosses said this person made a very good case on your...on our behalf. They agreed with him and here I am, home” said Leo still smiling.

“Who talk to them” asked Piper?

“I don’t know but as of right now I don’t care. I just hope some day I can find out because I would like to thank him” said Leo.

That’s all Piper needed to hear. She went to him and kissed him passionately. “We have to talk about Chris” Piper said after breaking the kiss.

“I know what happen. I heard what Chris did. It’s not your fault, Piper. If it’s anyone’s fault it’s mine” said Leo mournfully.

“No, If you can forgive me. I can forgive you.” whispered Piper laying her head on his chest and inhaling his sweet scent.

“Piper” said Leo.

“Umm” said Piper lost in his embrace.

“I love you” said Leo tighten his grip. He was never going to let her go again.

“I love you, too” said Piper.

“I guess you never know how things will turn out” Leo said laughing.

Leo put his finger under Piper’s chin to have her look up at him. He leans down and kisses her.

The End.
