A Monster In My Room By Kianna Williams
with a little help for her mother
There's a monster in my room, there's a monster in my room, his was
so small and green but had a friendly smile. He wasn't scary and I
have to say he was quite polite when he ask me my name. I said my
is Kianna, and what is your name? My name is Sleeper I from the planet
Zoo. A tiny planet over the moon.. I politely ask what made you come
here. Sleeper reply I want some ice cream. I never had ice cream.
Do you have any. I looked at the Sleeper and wonder why would a monster
come from the planet Zoo just for ice cream. I like Sleeper and since
he never had ice cream and my mother keep some in the freezer I decided
to give him his request. So me and Sleeper walked to the kitchen,
I got a chair to stand on and open the freeze to get the ice cream,
I heard a noise my heart was racing, and Sleeper saw the cabinet and
hind on one side and I hind on the other side of the cabinet. When
we heard the female voice who's in the kitchen ? I was relieved that
it was just my mother . I came out of the cabinet and said it's my
mother. My mother asked what are you doing in the kitchen this late
. I knew my mother was not going to believe me, but I reply there's
a monster in my room. My mother looked at me and said to much t.v
and monster movies, but mother I really do have a monster in my room,
but his in the cabinet, you see he come all the way from the planet
Zoo and his name is Sleeper. He came here because he wanted some ice
cream and that's why I was in the kitchen. My mother said okey I'm
going to look in the cabinet and see if Sleeper is still there. |

My mother open the cabinet , nothing ,
I asked her to open the other one nothing. Now why don't we put you
back to bed and you can have ice cream after dinner tomorrow. As my
mother was picking me up to put me back to bed, there was a tang on
her night gown. It was Sleeper and politely asked my mother. May I
please have some ice cream I have to be going home soon. My mother
mouth drop as though she was going to scream. Forget I said as though
she was going to scream she did. She scream so loud that it Sleeper
run out of the kitchen, I run after him but could not find him. I
went back in the kitchen to make sure mother was okey. She was on
the floor she pasted out. My mother came around and asked me want
was that . I told you mother his name is Sleeper. He just want some
ice cream. He never had ice cream before. Where is he now my mother
asked? I don't know when you scream he run away. Let check the house
and see if his still around . So we check the living room, basement,
my room and my mother room, we even check outside, but there was no
Sleeper.
My mother apologize for scaring Sleeper away, but I tell you what
I will leave a bowl of ice cream in case Sleeper come back. I smile
and said okey thanks mother. My mother put me bed and give me a good
night kiss. See you in the morning. As my mother left the room I wonder
if I would see Sleeper again. As I was falling asleep I heard the
bowl being as if someone was putting it back on the stand. As I looked
over at the stand the ice cream was gone and a little note saying
" thanks for the ice cream Sleepy and for being my friend.
