Who is
Tomoko Kawase?
Tomoko
kawase is a Japanese singer, a female. She sings in Japanese and English and
writes her own lyrics. Currently, she’s in a great band called The Brilliant
Green. She als has two different solo projects, Tommy February 6 and Tommy
Heavenly 6.
Who are The Brilliant Green?
The Brilliant Green is a great band. This band is
probably the closest to American music you’ll get in J-rock. The band excists
from Tomoko Kawase (singer & lyrics), Ryo Matsui (music) and Shunsaku Okuda
(music & leader). Their breaktrough; ‘There will be love there’. Debut: ‘Bye bye mr Mug’
Who is Tommy February?
Tommy February6 (the 6 is silent) is Tomoko’s first
solo project. The February 6 = her birthday. Tommy = her nickname. With this
project, she turns into a utterly cute and cheerleader-obsessed 80’s girl. She makes
disco sounding 80’s music which probably gets a bit boring every time you
listen to it. But it’s good for the change ^_^
debut: ‘Everyday at the Busstop’
Who is Tommy Heavenly?
Tomoko’s second soloproject, Tommy Heavenly6 (again,
the 6 is silent) is a bit more aggressive. Instead of turning into a cute girl,
she changes into a bad-ass rockchick who makes screaming punk and shocking
shreeks. I really like her as Heavenly 6. debut: ‘Wait till I can dream’
