In the grade 10 Careers course they tell us all about the importance of setting and working toward achieving goals. I alsways thought Careers was a tremendous waste of time, but then I thought back to that whole goal thing and it didn't seem too crazy. So I set a bunch. In case you're interested, or just bored enough to feel compelled to read them, here they are! And hey, if you see something that looks interesting, I'm always looking for adventure-buddies (don't worry, I won't actually call you that! ...unless you don't mind...) Some of my goals are encrypted with special code-names. Not because they're top secret, but moreso just because they sounded cooler that way. I'm not going to provide descriptions of each until I accomplish them, so if you want more info, just ask :) (PS: I don't care if you think they're stupid :p) Goals for the summer: 1. break into, and go swimming in, a hotel/motel swimming pool 2. write a couple of short stories that I am pleased with 3. learn a new life skill (does anyone have a cool life skill I could/should learn?) 4. Visit that cool bookstore on Main St. and talk to that awesome owner dude about his favorite book of all time. 5. See a drive in movie 6. See a live concert [DONE] My Life Goals: 1. Climb the stairs of the CN Tower [DONE] 2. Touch the "Y" of the HOLLYWOOD letters (lights) on Hollywood hill 3. Have a book (either of short stories or poetry) published 4. Have a picnic on top of a community water tower 5. Be someone's hero [DONE] 6. Learn to change a flat tire [DONE] 7. Actually change a flat tire 8. Watch "Pretty Woman" 9. Watch "Breakfast at Tiffany's" 10. Learn all the lyrics to Billy Joel's "We didn't start the fire" [DONE] 11. Learn sign language 12. Visit each and every wonder of the world 13. At some point or another, own a chinchilla 14. Perhaps get my pet chinchilla to teach me how to have a dust bath
