Saturday June 14th, 2003 2:03am (still my friday night) It may have been friday the 13th, but there sure as hell wasn't anything unlucky about my night... From pretending to hit on waiters, to sneaking into the guys bathroom, to dancing up a storm, to going back for more and more (and more and more...) coke from that "cute" (according to Teegan, anywayz) server, to meeting some new people, to getting compliments from total strangers, to almost getting involved in some weird junk while waiting for Paul F with Paul W and Teegan. MOST AWESOME NIGHT OF MY LIFE! The whole thing started out rather plainly... I panicked cause I wasn't even sure Paul F (my date) was even giving me a ride there, so I scrambled to get dressed and groomed in less time than I ever thought I'd be able to get ready in (less than 2 hours; new record!). Once we got there, I got to sit next to Paul and Teegan at a table with Matt, Gill, Dan M and his date, so it was mostly people I knew, which was nice. We talked for a bit over dinner, then listened to the grads' roast, then the award ceremonies (CONGRATS TO PAUL W, MATT, DAN H, TOM, DAN M and all the rest!), then the slideshow right before the dance. I always knew Teegan was cool, but she seriously exceeded my expectations of just how cool she could possibly be... I mean, we had awesome fun dancing on the dancefloor (barefoot), drinking glass upon glass of coke, slipping into the guys' bathroom because the line was too long in the girls', encouraging random guys to come dance, etc. Fun stuff indeed! So yeah! BIG thank you to: - Paul F for being my date (*blushes*) and for dragging me to this event... it not only made my week, it was also so much fun and meant so much for me to be there (my last chance to attend an event with all of you). You rock :) - everyone I danced with, you know who you are ;) - the random people that complimented me on my dress (strangers were nicer than most of my friends...) - the guy that stood guard while we were in the male bathroom - Teegan, for obvious reasons That said, I'm off to catch about 2 hours of sleep before I get up to help out with the BIG Garage Sale at 5:30ish... sweet dreams xoxo you know you love me...
