Jin Au-Yeung
- This Chinese kid hit stardom ever since
his first appearance on BET's hit-show 106
& Park for Freestyle Friday. On every
Friday episode of BET's 106 & Park,
there is a segment called Freestyle Friday,
where two rappers battle each other with their
freestyle rap flows. One day in 2002, a
Chinese kid known as Jin came on the BET show
for Freestyle Friday. His creative rap flows
and unique style took him to the top as he
went to win 7 Freestyle Fridays in a row,
ripping apart his opponents and paving his way
to stardom. |

Success for Jin did not stop on 106 & Park,
it just started. Word of Jin as "that
Chinese rapper on 106 & Park" was spreading
faster than you can say, "Who?" Soon record
companies were sending Jin offers as they also saw
much potential in this kid. |

On the seventh week of
Jin's appearance on 106 & Park's Freestyle
Friday, Jin revealed to the audience something
that no one was ever expecting. He was
standing on the stage at 106 & Park's
studio with the microphone in his hand. Next
thing you know, Jin pulled out a sparkling chain
with the "R" symbol on it, which represents rap
label Ruff Ryders. His hot rap flows on the
BET show landed him something that any underground
rapper could only dream of, a record deal with the
Ruff Ryders. In summer 2003, fans of this
Chinese kid can go see him in one of the summer's
hottest blockbuster, 2 Fast 2 Furious. |

Being crowned
champion on BET's 106 & Park, having his
named posted all over the Internet as one of the
first Asians to make it big in the rap industry,
having a role in one of the hottest blockbuster
films of 2003, there is no end to the success of
Jin. The best has yet to come as his debut
album is set out to drop in late August of 2003. |
