The University of Minnesota men's hockey team became the first team to earn back-to-back NCAA titles in 31 years with a 5-1 victory over the University of New Hampshire on Saturday night.

The 2002-03 hockey season officially ended about 3 a.m. Sunday, when the Gophers' charter flight touched down in the Twin Cities. Staff and players have exactly two weeks to enjoy their success before the buildup to next season begins with the first phase of offseason workouts.

The Minnesota Wild host the first playoff game in franchise history Monday night (6:30pm KMSP Fox 9/WCCO 830 AM) against the Colorado Avalanche. The Wild and Avalanche split the opening two games of the seven game series.
