Unicorns

Welcome

Oh, Noble steed of Purest white,
Where art thou on this Moonlit night?
I 've followed hoof prints through the sand.
To where I've often seen you stand.
Come to me White horse of grace.
I long to see your Gallant face,
Your golden horn of magic power
that guides you in this midnight hour.

My kind of Heaven

I saw a crystal palace,
a castle in the sky.
Amongst the whitest fluffy clouds
I wished that I could fly.
Behold, a magic stairway,
Laced with purest gold
Was leading me to Paradise
To capture dreams untold.

With rainbow tinted pathways
Wild unicorns ran free.
Their spiralled horns of golden light
just seemed to shine for me.
The tinkling sound of waterfalls,
and whispers from the Trees.
The dancing rays of sunlight,
Casting shadows in the breeze

Where roses blossomed bountifully,
Sweet fragrance filled the air.
Such colours never seen on earth
Enchanted, I was there.
I thought ‘Could this be Heaven?’
For here I feel so free.
Alas, I was but dreaming
Though it seemed so real to me.

The Unicorn

A perfect moment graced my sight,
Enchanting me with pure delight.
The golden glow from her spiral horn,
like an aura round the unicorn.

Her flaxen mane gleamed with the moon
just one brief moment all too soon,
She whinnied, fleeing to the night
That precious moment stole from sight.

The island laced with mist so fine, it
Held me captive many a time,
when coming from behind the trees,
A whinny carried in the breeze.

The sound of hooves were now nearby
Her nostrils flared, her head held high.
With the beauty of a bright new dawn,
I wont forget that unicorn.
