The Hermetics have assumed the prestigious but demanding role of leaders among Mage society. They are the only group to have two members among the Lords of the Warren, they control large sections of mundane society, and they have the Knights Templar as their personal security force. They consider themselves the grandfather of all the high paradigms and, as such, tend to be tradition bound. For them, no mage can hope to ‘better’ the ancient wise men but can only help restore the glory of the Great Tradition.Hermetics see magic as manipulating nature through a set of Universal Laws. These rules govern every aspect of existence and only by understanding the Laws (and the loopholes) can you control the universe. Once a complete understanding is achieved then complete power is accessible.
Blights and Bans:
The Hermetics are powerful, both in within the mage and mundane societies, therefore, all Hermetics start the came will three in Contacts (of your choice) and one in Influence (of your choice). Unfortunately, connections come at a price and PCs always owe favors to at least one powerful (NPC) Hermetic. The PC is considered the other Hermetic’s Contact and expected to provide aid or information when its requested.Home Base: Ravenwood, an academe located in the Babylon Heights District.
