The other groups talk of Ascension but the Cabal is the only Paradigm actively striving toward it. Like the alchemist of old who transmuted lead to gold, the Cabal wishes to transmute humanity from base flesh to something greater.

Born from the Order of Reason and the Solificati, this Paradigm leads the rest into the future. They were the first to embrace the Industrial Age, the first to create the marvels of the modern world, and they were the first to discover ‘True Science’. In Logos, the Cabal watches over and maintains Dadelous, Tulsa, and Amonhotep, (the Trinity) the three computers that run the electricity, rail, traffic systems, airport, security systems, firehouses, police, contain the Logos Net, and every other public service. It is because of them that Logos is a marvel of modern living.

There are many roads to perfection, some of the Cabal create computerized versions of their minds, others flood their body with primal energy, some improve their genetic makeup, and some leave their bodies entirely to become quantum beings. All, however, initially sacrifice a part of their flesh. The machine is the model of perfection and efficiently to the Cabal and only by releasing some part of yourself to it can you move towards perfection.

All Cabal members undergo permanent bio-modification, the Guide to the Technocracy features examples but each modification is unique to the Alchemist who makes and uses it.
