The youngest of the Paradigms, the Adepts are the prized creations of the Biomancers within The Cabal of Rebus. The Cabal reaches for perfection and with the Adepts they claim they’ve come one step further. The Adepts are proto-neo-human. Their skin, bone, and organs are genetically enhanced. They’re born with micro-polymer filaments woven through their nervous system and a transmission unit implanted into their brainstem. All Adepts are continuously connected to Lilith, the First Adept.

Each Adept is created and grown in a vat in the Crucible until their body reaches that of a seven year old. Adepts are given the best education, waited on by robotic servants, and raised to believe they are superior to normal humans.

Outside the Crucible and the Cabal of Rebus, however, things are a bit different. The majority of mages consider the Adepts to be Awakened constructs but not human. Many consider them offensive and blasphemous.

Blessings and Blights:
An Adept can connect to the virtual web at any time via their connection with Lilith and during character creation they can add +1 to any two Attributes, reflecting their superior genetic makeup. Unfortunately, the Adepts don’t look quite human, the filaments running through their body can be seen through the skin and they must cover most of their body when in public. They are also disliked by the majority of mages and suffer +2 to all social difficulties with them, unless they’re of the Cabal of Rebus.

Home base: The Adepts have no physical home base but all have exclusive access to the Lilith realm of the Net.
